Take a boat, or walk to Torno to find a bar, cafe, shop, and restaurants. Como is a short drive, and public transport is close by. L' appartamento dista km 5 da Como, km 2 da Torno, km 40 da Milano, km 38 da Lugano. E' raggiungibile con i mezzi di trasporto pubblico : gli autobus C30 C31 C32 con partenza ogni ora circa dalla stazione ferroviaria Como San Giovanni , Como Lago Ferrovie Nord o da Piazza Matteotti in direzione Como- Bellagio, impiegano circa 8 min per raggiungere la fermata Blevio - Decorazioni Savio, distante 100 m circa dall' abitazione. Alternativa piacevole al trasporto pubblico tradizionale può essere l'uso dei battelli della navigazione del Lago di Como, con partenza da Piazza Cavour in direzione Torno, da dove camminando per circa 15 min raggiungerete la destinazione. It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

Appartamento articolato in ampio spazio con sala da pranzo, salotto e cucina. Grande tavolo che può essere usato come scrivania, ampia cucina, angolo divani con TV. Si gode di una bella vista dello spazio verde del giardino. Sopra un soppalco con travi a vista: uno spazio relax con divano letto due posti che diventa un letto molto confortevole. Our stay at Barbara’s apartment was exceptional. Best abnb we have stayed in. It was absolutely immaculate. It exceeded our expectations. Barbara’s attention to detail is what makes the apartment stand out. The view over the lake from the balcony is stunning. Barbara was a very attentive host , we had a problem with the car whilst we were there and Barbara’s help was invaluable. The apartment is perfect for a short term or longer stay like we enjoyed. We toured all of the lake , the proximity to the boat terminals is very convenient in Angera or Ranco. We enjoyed a day trip to Milan by train which was very straightforward. Thank you Barbara , we will definitely return .

Es war herrlich. Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt und haben die warmen Abende draußen auf der überdachten Tenne sehr genossen. Die Lage der Wohnung war sehr gut, schnell am Lago Maggiore, schnell in Angera, von wo die Fähren und Schiffe abfahren und schnell in der Natur. Vieles, allerdings nicht alles, war mit dem Fahrrad möglich. Es war eine tolle Zeit und die Wohnung war ein idealer Rückzugspunkt für uns, um die Tage ausklingen zu lassen. Die Wohnung war toll klimatisiert, auch das hat uns ruhige und entspannte Nächte beschert. Alessandra hat uns sehr viel Information und Tipps gegeben, mehr als wir eigentlich "abarbeiten" konnten. Wir müssen also auf jeden Fall noch mal hin. Danke. Beste Grüße, Ita und Roland

Cet appartement logé dans une magnifique propriété est splendide. Elle est situé face au lac dans une environnement verdoyant et fleuri. L’intérieur est cosy, bien aménagé et fonctionnel. Le grand balcon est un vrai plus : nous avons pu y prendre nos repas tout en admirant la vue magnifique sur le lac. L’accès privé au lac est également un vrai privilège. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et remercions notre hôte pour sa réactivité et ses précieux conseils.

Cosetta’s apartment was lovely. Great location and a spectacular view. Walking distance to a cute little Bottega that has everything you would need. The shop owner is super helpful. It takes about 10 minutes by car to get down to the town. The town of San Giolio is lovely. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Lago di Orta.
