Monthly Rentals in Austerlitz

Last week, my wife and I took a much anticipated trip to the Hudson Valley, a region we love. We’ve recently thought about buying a second home there, a cozy cabin space to which we can escape our hectic lives in New Jersey. My wife found this cabin on Airbnb and the pictures convinced us we’d be in lovely surroundings. The pictures, however, don’t come close to doing the place justice. We set foot inside and had the same reaction we did when we first walked into our current home. It was perfect, the house we’ve dreamed about without knowing it. A beautifully converted garage, it has high ceilings, gorgeous wood walls, and every imaginable comfort. Vanessa and Susie have thought of everything. The house is immaculate, and the grounds are attractive and secluded, with good restaurants and shopping just a few miles away in Chatham or Hudson. As soon as we drove away, we wanted to reserve another week in this peaceful and rustic-luxurious home.

The house was amazing! The sorrowdings were amazing and beautiful and the house was well equipted with everything you may need, including all kitchen utilities, spices, toys and books. We had a perfect stay

This is a special home with loads of history. I arrived to a snow covered wonderland. By the time I left a few days later, purple flowers bloomed and birds chirped under the Spring sky. The home is quiet, light-filled, comfortable, and inviting. I only used the main floor, aside from taking advantage of the laundry area. I spent most of my time on the back deck off of the bedroom. Coffee, watching the sun rise and set, stargazing, listening to the water... I had zero interest in tuning out the sounds of nature. My dog and I walked the large property much of the day. It is secluded yet a short drive to most. Lisa is a kind, accessible, and flexible host. This is the place to stay for a city detox, and I hope to return in another season!

This is a comfortable home that is clearly loved and cared for by the owners, with all of the amenities you would want. It's a relief to come to an Air bnb that is more than a place to stay, but truly a home away from home.
