I can't say enough good things about Michelle, who was a wonderful and responsive host, as well as the accommodation, which was lovely. I would definitely consider staying again myself, and cannot recommend her or her place enough.

A cosy place to stay in Mdina. Josephine was lovely and really helpful. She gave great directions to the apartment (which can be tricky to find). She also gave great local recommendations to avoid the tourist chaos and prices. The place is cosy. There are heaters if it gets a little chilly and well furnished with everything you need for a stay including some bits to cook with. We arrived with a car and parked near the Greek Gates. It was only a short, 5 minute walk to the apartment. We came and went multiple times throughout the couple of days and had no issues finding a space to park.

We stayed at Anne's place for a week and found it perfectly fine as a base to explore the island as it's central and in a great, un-touristy town. We had a couple of minor hiccups whilst there but they were all resolved swiftly and did not impact our holiday. Anne and her son are very responsive. There are a few comments in other reviews about the access - the steps are offset and narrow but are manageable for the majority of people. The only concern could be when carrying a case, particularly down, however Anne's son offered to bring our luggage down through their accommodation which is adjoining so this wasn't an issue. Anne also agreed that we could leave our luggage there on checkout day as our flight was later in the day which was much appreciated.
