The Pod in Athenree is an ideal base for 1 or 2 people. One Queen bed. Central to Athenree. A 2-5 minute walk for a variety of activities; swimming, fishing, kayaking/boating, biking, tennis, hot pools + playgrounds. Kayaking in the Estuary is tidal. 5 minute drive to Waihi Beach / Bowentown, or you can walk across the estuary at low tide. 10 minute drive to Waihi & Katikati. The studio-styled Pod isn’t a huge space - but it is handy as a base for your holiday. Enjoy our brand new Queen bed!

Our piece of paradise is situated on the edge of the water in the Athenree Village (north end of the Tauranga harbour). The modern upstairs apartment is yours exclusively. From here you can: watch the sunrise over the water; enjoy the ever-changing view of the tide; watch the varied and rich bird life; or relax while reading or playing games from our library. Feel more energetic? Walk to the surf beach; visit the hot pools or take a walk on the water edge. We follow AirBnB cleaning protocols.

Seaforth Lodge provides great accommodation a minutes walk from the beach. Lie in bed, see and hear the waves or grab your board and head out for an early morning dip in the ocean. Own entrance, ensuite, fast Wifi, plenty of off street parking. Linen, towels, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, microwave and crockery provided. 2 rooms with adjoining doors, great for a friends getaway. Not suitable for small children. The Blue Bach

The Bach is light, modern, comfortable, within walking distance of beach and village. Sit on the deck and watch the sun go down over the hills, stroll a few hundred metres to the golden sand beach, or across the common to the village for coffee and shopping. There is unlimited fibre internet, ducted air conditioning and heating, and linen and bath-towels are provided. Please bring your own beach-towels. Maximum occupancy is 4 guest. Homewood Cottage

Homewood cottage is situated in a private garden behind the main homestead “Homewood”. Homewood was built in 1876 by Dr Thomas Fletcher and was the original farm house in the area. The cottage was built in the early 1900s when the property was owned by George Alley a well known philanthropist. Guests can enjoy the private lawn and garden around the cottage, and wander down the hedgerow to the pond overlooking the Tauranga harbour.

With access to the street tennis court and reserve, minutes walk to multiple parks and the Athenree Hot Pools, this is a great little spot for young families, or a couple wanting to get away.
