Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Ashe County

This was my family's second stay, and we hope to return in the autumn season! All of the furniture and linens are so comfortable! The bathroom is nice and very large. The kitchen amenities and eating areas inside and outside are welcoming. Must experience activities include swinging on the front porch with a cup of coffee and a visit to the farm store across the street!

Enjoyed everything provided from firewood, hygiene supplies, board games and even a basket of fruit. Bed was very comfortable and the kitchen made for a good baking activity! Very quiet and peaceful at night.

We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again. The home was exactly as described. The instructions for check-in and expectations while there were easy to follow. Our fur baby enjoyed the gates for the porch and fenced in yard. The location was ideal— just far enough out of town that it’s peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed mornings on the porch. The home is a short drive from Boone. We even visited Blowing Rock and West Jefferson during our stay. Megan was responsive and made our stay smooth and enjoyable.

Great location about 10 minutes from west Jefferson and 30 minutes to North Wilkesboro. Plenty for kids and adults alike! The added security of the gate was really nice! I would definitely suggest this location to anyone traveling to that area!

Andrew was incredibly accommodating and kind, overall very proactive as a host and always made sure we were having a good time. Everything was immaculately clean, including and especially the bathroom. The property itself is gorgeous, with a gorgeous creek that runs through it and was fun to walk through! Overall one of the best Airbnb’s and host experiences I’ve ever had, can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Paul's place in Jefferson. It was a short drive to the places we like to hike and was a short drive to the cute downtown West Jefferson.

This place was a real gem! Even better than the pictures. It was perfect for our ladies weekend. We loved all the outdoor space and spent a lot of time out on the rocking chairs. We walked down to the New River and it was so beautiful and peaceful. The kitchen was amazing and the house was very clean and perfect for our group.

Terrific space, overall, and perfect for our needs. We arrived after dark but had no trouble finding the home or getting inside. Brenna’s thorough, thoughtful communication was greatly appreciated before our arrival and during our visit. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Highly enjoyed my mountain stay! The view was spectacular, the driveway was bit rockery than anticipated but my Toyota Camry made it up fine! It was very clean and cozy! The hosts did an amazing job at communicating and accommodating our stay. The guest book was adorable and full of fun recommendations of activities to do. I really loved it here, will happily visit this same property on my next stay!! worth the money and the view!! Thanks again!!

2nd time staying here and loved it just as much! They take so much time to make sure it’s as cozy as possible with extra blankets, fans, or space heaters. Little things like this make all the difference! Will be back!

Beautiful view !! Comfortable bed. Hot tub a big plus ! Jim was very helpful and had great recommendations for local hikes. I could literally see the snow moving in across the mountain. It was the perfect spot !

Edwin’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway for me and my fiancé. Super close to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The host also recommended great places to rent gear, etc. We loved it and would recommend their place if you’re looking for a place to stay close to the ski resort!!

This place was beyond relaxing and breath taking views! My fiancée and I had an amazing time and we felt right at home and were able to recharge and relax.

A friend and I stayed for a long weekend while attending MerleFest. 30-40 minutes commute to the festival, but very easy. Went to West Jefferson one morning for lunch and shopping. The cabin was just as described. Would love to go back with my husband when the Rhododendron are blooming. So peaceful and beautiful.

I took a solo trip to watauga to get a break in the mountain air. As an App State Alumni, it was great to be back in the area but even better to enjoy the peace and serenity of Appalachia from the front porch of this cabin! The place was immaculate and cozy. Maritza was very communicative and answered any questions that I had! I will definitely be back for my solo trips to unwind!

Scott is an exceptional host and The Grove is a treasure find !!! From the cozy, comfortable and private cabin to the beautiful surroundings of nature trails, wildlife, and magical star gazing , this is our all time favorite Airbnb ! We have stayed here multiple times each year for the past 5 years and highly recommend The Grove !!!

We had a wonderful stay with our family. Enjoyed the privacy of the house sitting at the top of a hill, many areas in the deck, gazebo and outside to just enjoy the nature. The kitchen and outside grill were nice for cooking our meals. The kids loved all the entertainment including the game room, foosball table, board games. Great place to visit the surrounding state parks for hiking. The house was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Our short trip was amazing. Check-in and Check-out was a breeze and even got accomodation with the trash logistics. The views from the balcony were amazing and it's relatively close to major activities in West Jefferson and Boone. Definitely make a trip to the "Swinging Bridge"

Absolutely loved the cabin and will definitely try to book again when we return to West Jefferson. It was just the two of us so the cabin was spacious and cozy at the same time. Gas fireplace added a special touch in the cool nights. We were close enough to downtown where we had dinner the first night and had a full kitchen to make dinner the next night. We had planned to hike mount jefferson so it was super convenient. Watch about two dozen deer pass through over coffee in the morning. Comfy bed and super easy checkout. Highly recommend!!!

I can’t say enough about this place. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The view was amazing. The neighbors have animals that my daughters enjoyed watching from the patio. The only thing I would say is be careful with any small children getting in and out of the car because there is a beautiful creek right below. there’s enough space in between though. The house was so spacious and there was free coffee!! 😃 definitely a wonderful experience.
