Maggie's Cottage

LauraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Beautiful house! Every bit as good as it looks to be in the photos. Looking out through the main window in the lounge area we were able to watch the ships and boats sail past on the sea and looking through the other window at the back of the house we were able to watch the clouds and rain storm folding over the mountains. Then this morning while enjoying our coffee we to watched the rabits play in the field behind us. Such a magical place and so peaceful. We had such a lovely time and hope to be back soon. Historic Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage. #1

SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Unlike many Airbnbs, Neil and Jennifer Jane's place is as amazing as the photos. We stayed for a week and found the cottage clean, fully equipped, light, spacious and beautifully decorated. The surrounding coastline was like a private beach and wonderful for wildlife - we saw dolphins, crabs, starfish, cormorants, oyster catchers... Already planning a return!

Stone cottage

JennyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a delightful cottage. It had everything we needed + more. Great shower, comfy bed. After travelling for a few days we appreciated that there was a washing machine, and a dryer also if we needed it.Suzanne made us feel very welcome and left bread, milk, butter, coffee, tea and lots of other food items which we could use if we wanted. Her communication was great. The village is gorgeous and has a good selection of restaurants. We went into Belfast one day, catching the train from Bangor to avoid the stress of driving in a city we didn’t know.

The Lookout, Ballyhalbert- cottage with sea views

AlisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house was beautiful and exactly how it looked in the pictures. The view is so fabulous, changing with the tides and daylight. Great garden area as well for my doggy. The town itself is very quiet with only a shop and a chip van - which is currently closed on weekends. We were able to pivot and cook a decent meal in the house though instead, then go to a nearby town the next evening for food. Really chilled place to stay as a base for seeing around the rest of the area. And always a bonus when you can bring your four-legged friends 👍🐾

An art and garden lover's hideaway

AlanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Mike was an excellent communicator from the start and very accommodating regarding our arrival time. He met us in person and is a very friendly and helpful host. His home made bread was delicious. His home cinema system is amazing with a fantastic selection of great films to watch on a large screen. The house is very well appointed and benefits from great natural light regardless of which room you are in. The garden, its shrubs, plants and flowers is amazing. A beautiful setting and the bird song is absolutely fantastic. The hot tub is a welcome additional if you want to relax in the beautiful garden with a glass of wine and take in the glorious views and garden. A very relaxing and peaceful stay in very homely accommodation. Mike is in the adjacent house if you need him but you have the feeling you are there all alone. Superb location if attending a wedding or other function at Tullyveery House. You just walk 500yards up the main drive. Perfect ,quiet location for a couple.

Quaint “Lilac Tree Cottage” Greyabbey

GerardRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Had a great stay at Lilac Cottage, we were staying there as our son’s wedding was at Orangetree House, lovely cosy sitting room, well stocked kitchen and the cottage was spotless. Unfortunately we didn’t get the full benefit as it would be a great location for anyone to explore the Ards peninsula and across to Strangford and Mourne Country and come back to relax in the garden. Janet had also left us some ‘goodies’ and even Pooh bags for the dog! Apologies I took her for a walk and still have them 🙈 would 100% recommend and all being well will use again

Seal Bay Cottage - Large garden with Sea view.

GabrielleRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This little place is everything as described. If you're looking for a get-away & the sound (& view!) of the sea on your doorstep, this is it! You literally walk from the garden onto the beach! The tide goes out before lunch & you can walk along the whole stretch. The only people you'll meet are those living nearby, so it's really private. Our dog really enjoyed the run on the long garden & out onto the beach. We had fab weather, so we spent most of our time there; even managed a dip ... yes, it was cold, but very refreshing! We ate all our meals outdoors on the picnic bench; plenty of take-aways nearby, but also a well-equipped kitchen where we cooked also. Cosy sitting room with large TV & Netflix for 'nightlife'! Bathroom had a bath, which is always a plus for me! We really loved our stay here & though travelled 4 hours to get there, we'd do it again no bother! In fact, we were hard-pressed to get our dog back into the car to leave, so we've promised her a return visit! 😎
