The Crows Nest, Crumlin Park, Ballyglunin, Galway

MichaelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We’ve just spent 5 fantastic days staying with John & Maura. We are a family of 4, two young girls 6-3yo. The property was ideal for us, kitchen had everything we needed and a nice court yard to eat outside in the evening. There’s a games room that we spent time in each night and played basketball on the tennis court which we loved doing. We did loads in the time we were here, travelling by car is easy and accessible. (Gills pub locally, made us feel at home for a few Guinness and bet on the horses) Isle of Arran and bike hire is a must Salthill beach and swimming baths are great Corofin Gaa was a great recommendation by the owners if you want to watch some local sport Galway was lively, loads of live music and good food. (Magpie is worth the queue) And lastly mini the dog, my daughters wanted to bring her home….just rub her belly. Thanks for great trip, we’ll be back. Michael Heather Ada Nina

Great place to stay if you’re looking for a relaxed, away from it all home. A bonus is the wood fired stove, very cosy. Sophia left a lovely welcoming pack, a kindly gesture to weary travellers. Bandit is a welcome, and not shy, visitor who adds his own feline welcome!

Loved our stay at this cosy cottage, we stayed for two nights ahead of our wedding day at Vaughans nearby and it was a perfect scenic spot to get ready for the big day. Anna Marie was helpful before our arrival, so easy to contact and great for information and the cosy cottage had just the warm atmosphere we were looking for full of lovely quirky touches. Would definitely love to visit again and would whole heartedly recommend to anyone for a lovely get away 🌻

A great stay at Michelle and Damien's. The house is spacious and surrounded by the peaceful landscapes we were looking for. Our hosts were very responsive to any concerns we might have. Everything is as described in the listing: the wifi works very well, the house is clean and convenient. The washing machine and dryer in the garden shed work well, as do the oven and dishwasher. There's even an Air Fryer (which I didn't use). The house is well insulated and we did not get cold (nice duvets in the bedding). To find the address, as always in Ireland you have to rely on the Eir code and everything is fine!

Fuschia cottage with amazing ocean views/sunsets

DianaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This house really is much more lovely than in the pictures, with many interesting and thoughtful touches. The fire was built and ready to light when we arrived, which was a real treat. The views are expansive, the house custom built and unique, and the space comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings, and Frank came by to make sure we understood how to use the heating system/ etc. Doolin is just a short drive away. The kitchen is well stocked with all that is needed to prepare a dinner at the house. We were also very grateful for how accommodating the hosts where in changing our travel plans several times- we had troubles with flights and event scheduling and they worked around us. Highly recommended for tranquility and beautiful views. If you are on the fence about staying here- just do it. It really is a special place.

Burren Eco Nest

I loved the peace and quiet, and being able to see the ponies, birds, clouds, rain, and rainbows from the big windows. Corofin is close (don’t miss the Morning Dew cafe), and the Burren National Park is on the doorstep. Mike and Marie were friendly, welcoming, and willing to share local knowledge. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen tiny but functional. A great base for exploring the area.

We loved our stay. The place was so cosy with really comfortable beds and lovely underfloor heating. The location was fabulous, it felt completely remote and yet it was a five minute drive to a lovely town that had a large Supervalue and a lovely bakery. We explored lots of places such as the Cliffs of Moher and Lahinch which were both close by. So light and airy inside with beautiful colours that reflected the landscape, a very interesting array of books as well. Our favourite part was the barrel hot tub where you can look up at the stars at night (there are so many because of the lack of light pollution in the area). Definitely check this place out!

Our stay at Dorothy's place was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, Dorothy's warmth, humor, and genuine care made us feel right at home. She truly is the most wonderful host you could ever wish for. The house is beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches and plenty of information about the local area. Dorothy was always available to offer invaluable advice on where to eat, explore, and even save money. Her recommendations were spot on and made our trip even more special. The location is perfect, with a stunning lake just a short walk away. Thanks to Dorothy's provided equipment, we enjoyed kayaking and taking in the serene views. The hot tub was another highlight—spacious, impeccably maintained, and absolutely enchanting at night with the fairy lights twinkling around us. Outdoor space's perfect for alfresco dining, and the presence of the donkeys and two friendly dogs added an extra layer of charm to our stay. It truly felt like a slice of haven on earth. 10/10
