We offer a place like no other. The Mamaku Roost is a large, unique, private & peaceful oasis with easy access/parking in a semi rural setting (but super handy location) 5 minute drive to town, train & beach. Art, antiques, original wooden floors, log burner, double glazing/curtains, modern hot shower, heated blankets, kitchenette, fast wifi, black out curtains. Outside has a covered patio, outdoor fire/furniture, fountain, native bush, farm, garden, beehives, friendly animals. Guests say WOW.

Situated on the Westcoast Wilderness Cycleway 6km from Hokitika town centre my place is perfect for all independent travellers. The unit is fully self contained with it's own entrance and great rural views. The Royal Mail Hotel (Woodstock Hotel) is only 3km away and serves great pub food as well as their own craft beer in a historic pub with a lively atmosphere and views of the river. Town is 10 minutes drive away with a selection of good dining options, takeaways, bars and a supermarket.
