A natural rock formation stands prominently against a clear blue sky, showcasing an arch that connects two large stone cliffs. Lush green shrubs are visible at the base of the formation, contrasting with the sandy desert floor.

Bedouin host camp with & tour

value for money. Raed and his brothers were extremely friendly and a wonderful host who made us feel at home. they gave us the real experience of Bedouins. They even got my 8 year old onboard with the desert camping experience and he thoroughly enjoyed it. for those who prefer a private bathroom, you won't find it but the common toilet was very clean and tidy

Wadi Rum Magic Stars

Mohammad is not the big entertainer, but a really great organiser! He will take care of you and within your preferences also of the Wadi Rum community. For example, the guide from our first day was from a family who needed money at the moment we visited, so Mohammad gave him the job. This led to some unexpected adventures, but without any impact on our experience. For the second day we wanted to go more "off-road" and asked for a guide who speaks English. With Abu Tiab (father of the wolf) we got the best guide we could wish for. He showed us spectacular places with no one else around and gave us amazing insights into the beduin lifestyle. We suspect that not all stories are 100% true, but it was definitely a great experience! Check-in was easy. We even could park our rental in Mohammad's backyard to avoid parking damage while staying in the desert. The tents in the camp can become quite cold in pre-season, but there is enough blankets. Just as the description says, you will not have a luxury stay, but find everything you need including running water and western style toilets. We especially appreciated the utilisation of solar power in the camp instead of a non-sustainable and noisy generator. The food served is plenty and of good quality. I highly recommend the beduin tea! The meat was always chicken, which might be not to everyone's taste, but is my favourite anyway.
