Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Appenzell Ausserrhoden

We were allowed to spend super nice days at Manuela's cottage for the second time. Everything was perfect again. The large garden was a highlight for young and old to play, discover or relax. We really appreciated the many toys for the kids. The house is also very lovingly decorated. Thank you very much dear Manuela.

The house is very beautiful and the garden is like you are in a resort, and the view is amazing. Everything is clean. I came to this village before I go to Interlaken, and it is more beautiful in nature. Monica is very kind and friendly, and proactive in communication.

An amazing location , just up from Trogen. A lovely place to stay for a quiet stay except for the cow bells. A lovely host.

We've spent 5 nights in Nicole's house with our friends, 4 couples alltogether. It is a huge house, there are rooms everywhere. It reminded us the house from "Home Alone" :) We really liked it. Though the guests must clean the house before they leave - everything was clean, nice and comfortable. The kitchen had a lot of accessories which we appreciated a lot as we love to cook. They have everything you would need for a great vacation, we especially liked the premium furniture, grill and cooking equipment and the large fridge. You can also find gorgeous surrounding, fields, forests, ruins and obviously cows and goats around the house. Ideal to have some new animal friends :) The only strange thing was that the house seems to be Nicole's family home which they rent out for the summer so they have their stuff in the cabinets, images on the wall. If you are used to stay in apartments, it can be unusual for the first time. Anyway, it was a great experience, thanks Nicole for having us!

The location where the cottage is located is really nice! You have a great view of the Säntis and can start hiking directly from the accommodation. The place was as described, only the curtains were a little too translucent for us. We were on site with two dogs and felt very comfortable :-)

We had a lovely family week in this cottage. It is small, but lovely small and it makes you feel right at home. Garden is beautiful, with stream cutting right through. It has two terraces, wood fired grill and lovely quite location away from neighbours. Location is superb as well to discover Lake Constance. Thank you.

A very nicely renovated house. In the middle of the green with cowbells. Very well-equipped kitchen, like at home with everything you could need. Anita was always helpful and accommodating, we could even come earlier and then stay a little longer. Thank you very much, it was really a relaxing weekend.

Petra responded very quickly and well to inquiries. We felt very comfortable in the old Swiss house with beautiful furnishings. The location is nice and quiet and you can quickly get to the sights in Appenzellerland from there. We loved it.

We spent 9 nights in Brigitte's apartment, which is located above Appenzell (about 10 minutes' walk from the center) on the edge of the forest and offers a wonderful view of the Alpstein. Wonderfully quiet and close to nature. The granny flat of the farmhouse has recently been tastefully and gently renovated, with the well-equipped kitchen and bathroom being new and modern, while the large living room and bedroom are preserved in the old, characterful style. Brigitte is a very warm host. She provided us with current tips (for alpine lifts you have to get up early...;-) and answered our questions within a very short time. We were completely satisfied! Around Appenzell there is plenty to see and discover: taste alpine bitters, cheese factory, bake beavers, indoor pool, village tour, golf course Gonten, etc… Säntis with Schwägalp, Ebenalp with the Äscher, Kronberg and Hoher Kasten offer great hikes for everyone. Recommended.

Very friendly, helpful hosts. Beautiful, well-kept and well-equipped apartment with large furnished terrace and great views. We enjoyed our stay in Rebstein very much and were also culinary on our account. Rebstein is well developed in terms of public transport. Since the apartment is a little higher in the slope, it is more suitable for guests with car, but not exclusively!

Although the weather wasn’t on our side, we still had a wonderful time. Nyree and her family were incredibly kind, and the house was clean and so cozy. The animals were so comforting, and my children already miss their dog Kylie. We also got to try the alpaca duvet—it was unbelievably warm!!! We’d love to visit there again!

Loved it. The apartment is practical and lovingly furnished. Everything worked well. It is important to know that the stairs are very narrow and you have to be careful. But the surroundings and the tranquility invite you to linger🤗

Ernst is very communicative and helpfull person. We traveled with baby and everything, even toys, were prepared for him. He is careful. He described us his appartment properly and was ready to help us with anything. We slept there very well. I can totally recommend Ernst!

It’s a great place, very clean, excellent amenities, and a great central location! Parking is tight and be sure everyone in your party is good with many flights of stairs. Highly recommend!!

In the tiny house you can completely relax surrounded by nature. The village is also great for hiking. You have everything you need. You can buy fresh products in the farm's own store. Very familiar atmosphere. Breakfast is put together by the hosts themselves, very tasty!

We really enjoyed our weekend in the house. The location is great, close to the street but very quiet, secluded and with a beautiful view. Communication was great and check-in and check-out clear and flexible, thanks again!

We were allowed to spontaneously spend an extended weekend in the bijou sitterblick. The cottage and the surroundings fully met expectations. We especially liked the beautifully overgrown outdoor area. Very nice and uncomplicated hosts who cherish and care for their vacation home and the surroundings with a lot of love. Beautiful Maiensäss, where we enjoyed 3 quiet days. The rooms and facilities are very nicely done and everything you need is there. The cool rainy days offered the opportunity to fire up the stoves, which contributed a lot to the cozy cottage feeling. If you like the modern and still look for simplicity, this is the place to be. We would come back in a heartbeat.
