Great little space to enjoy the lake from. Having bedrooms with their own bathrooms on opposite ends of the building was a nice touch for privacy for couples and non couples. Overall, it was comfortable and charming and was all I needed to a wonderful getaway on Rathbun. Thanks for having us Brad and Bernie!

Place was very nice and private. Enough room to drive in and out with truck and 20 foot boat. It was our very first time in the area and very first time at Rathbun. Close to boat launch/state park and made it extremally easy to travel back and forth for the morning and evening fishing trip. Just down the street, there is a "self Service" station where you can buy firewood's, baits and Ice which made it extremely convenient. Aaron was very responsive and a great host. Two thumbs up!!!

Annette and Dustin were amazing hosts that went above and beyond to accommodate our family and stay! The apartment was super clean, fresh, bright and offered great amenities. It was truly furnished amazingly for not only short term but extended stay as well. If ever back in the area would definitely love to stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway Retreat in Melrose. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. When we lost a bolt out of our boat trailer, Dianne was able to find a replacement to get us back on the road and in the water. And hardware wasn't even on the list of things provided! How's that for service?

Loved our stay. 2 days there were 13 of us definitely tested the capacity lots of room. My husband and I added a day , he seldom gets summer vacations. Bring blankets especially if people sleeping on couches. More kitchen stocking if doing a lot of cooking. The house was awesome one level especially the game room extra space. Two sleeper sofa’s would work in there. Lots of room for large groups. Fire pit and pool absolutely great. Patio and two doors on the poolside was very useful. I did call Douglas with a few questions, very accommodating and friendly.

We had a great stay for our wedding weekend. Conveniently located on the historic square that has great shops, restaurants, and businesses. Check in was easy and there is so much space inside the bnb. Will definitely be recommending this stay to out of town friends and family!

Leslie’s place was very much in order. Everything was very detailed, and she has very detailed directions posted in several places throughout the home. The kitchen has everything needed to cook any type of meal, with high quality kitchen appliances and utensils. Everything was well thought out, and the home was very comfortable overall. Leslie was very responsive anytime we needed anything, or just had a simple question. We will definitely book again whenever we are back in town next!

I booked Kelly's listing for my son and his family, who were coming to Ottumwa from the East Coast to visit for the holidays. The location was excellent and the house was set up really well for them. There are lots of large windows, giving much light in the open concept-formatted kitchen/living room. The two large islands gave plenty of seating and counter space. Kelly was very fast to respond to any questions we had. She and Jason went above and beyond to make sure their stay was a success. Her instructions were very thorough. We would absolutely book her place for other family members if and when they would come to Ottumwa to visit.

We enjoyed our stay at Amy's little bungalow. The house was clean and just as described and even though there were close houses, it was quiet. Our daughter especially loved the clawfoot tub and put it to good use. We would definitely stay here again in the future if we are in the area.
