Perfectly secluded on an unmarked road. Walked to Faxafoss and river from the cabin. Saw Aurora multiple nights from the patio! Located on the Golden Circle made itenaries easier to plan. Cosy, toasty warm cabin after a winter cold day out.

Absolutely beautiful setting and a very quiet and peaceful stay. Exactly what we wanted. 😊 Located near several spots on our to-do list which was a big bonus! Would definitely stay again!

We just finished a 3 night stay at Maria’s place and it was absolutely lovely. We enjoyed the hot tub and the house felt just like home. Beautifully decorated with little touches that made the house feel warm. Maria was extremely responsive and allowed us to check in early which worked out perfect for our travel plans. I do recommend stopping at a larger store before getting close to the house as the little town has only a convenience store. We also really enjoyed dinner at Lindin in the town. The house was a great gateway to everything we wanted to get too.

AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.
