Family-friendly vacation rentals in Antigonish

This was the perfect place for our family to stay. The house is spacious and wonderful. Having a private beach just up the road was amazing. We dug clams and made our own chowder. It doesn’t get better than that! Except maybe Bob and Hannah’s friendliness and care. We’ll remember our stay at the Flat River Farmhouse for a long, long time.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Mark and Mary Ellen's. They were wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome. The cottage was equipped with literally everything you could think of to make yourself right at home. The kids LOVED exploring the beach each day or just playing in the yard and the hot tub. The trip to Charlottetown was very close and we were able to explore downtown and enjoy plenty of great seafood spots. Thank you so much for a great vacation!!

Loved our stay even if it was only one night

We had a wonderful stay! James is an excellent host - easy to communicate with and very helpful with anything we needed during our stay. His home is beautiful, spacious, clean, and comfortable. Just a short walk from the beach! Would definitely recommend.

Owner is very friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had. The yard is well maintained and it was very quiet and peaceful for our stay. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing to suggest is another ac in bedrooms. the sun hitting the back bedroom made it very warm. we had noone using the room so we just left the door closed and all was good. Very worth the money and really enjoyed our stay. Pool was well maintained. there's a hot tub too but didn't get a chance to use it. I recommend this place 100%

We loved our stay at Paul’s place. It was clean, comfortable, and close to beaches and places to eat. He answered any questions or small issues we had promptly and was very communicative.

This place was absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate the rain stayed away until late in the evening so we enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. Hit the town for a relaxing walk before retreating to the chalet for a nice bbq and drinks on the patio as we watched all the boats passing by on the water. The inside was immaculate and the hot tub was an amazing way to end the night. Our host was quick to respond to questions and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Was a great way to spend a 1 year anniversary 😊

The cottage was perfect for us to get away for a vacation! We really enjoyed the pool and Paul was very helpful. We picked up some lobsters at the local market and he had an outdoor propane cooker that was perfect and quick! The grounds are awesome, our dogs enjoyed walks on the trail around the cabins and there is a huge lawn/green space in the middle for them to enjoy as well. The cottage is 20 min fron Cavendish and 20 min from Charlottetown, 2 min from the Dunes and a couple great little grocers. Shout out to Brackley Bay Oyster Co. (basically next door) where we got amazing prices on oysters, lobster and mussels.

we enjoyed our stay. it was quiet and clean. we had plans of traveling around the cabot trail we did and came back and were able to rest and enjoy our evening. I would recommend this place if anyone is looking for a spot I think it would be wonderful in the summer.

Terry's home was AMAZING! It was absolutely beautiful, so clean and well-appointed! The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. From the moment we walked in the door we felt right at home. So many thoughtful touches including beautiful artwork, a welcome gift, and landscaping that was magnificent. Response time was very quick and all questions were answered thoroughly. We would definitely stay here again! Lou & Ernie

We used the house for St FX convocation and the home housed parents, grandparents and the grad. The house was amazing and everything was just right!! The house and Patti were both awesome!! We would gladly stay again if the situation arises.

My second stay at this beautiful property. Lovely farmhouse, very private. Super clean, all the amenities you need. Great for dogs! We stayed for the weekend to attend a dog agility event up the street and we loved this place. Tons of room, and the property was perfect to run and walk our dogs before and after competition. My Teammates and I are already talking about booking for the next time!! Wi-Fi, TV, fire pit, horseshoes, and close to everything but you feel like you are in your own private place! Book this amazing place you will not be disappointed ☺️

We had a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb. There was a small issue with our original reservation, (not our hosts fault) and Dixie went above and beyond to make things right. She graciously upgraded us to a beautiful home, and honestly, we felt that we got the better end of the deal. The place we stayed in was absolutely lovely — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Dixie was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for a great day. Her kindness and quick communication really stood out. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. Thank you, Dixie for your hospitality.

We are very happy with our seven night stay there. The kitchen was well equipped, so we were able to prepare almost all of our meals. Eileen greeted us with homemade biscuits and some thoughtful fridge provisions sufficient to get our next morning off to a cozy start. She made an effort to help us access Wi-Fi in the town of Inverness, but it turned out the cottage had good cell reception so we could use phones as hotspots to get a little work done such that we could really vacation in confidence. We were delighted to see a pair of bald eagles on the shore of the property, well as loons and kingfishers and many other birds. Our stay was in mid September, and the weather was delicious, sunny, with a crisp bite to the air on our last couple of days. Congratulations to Eileen on creating a charming getaway, I wish we had stayed three or four more days.

Martina's place was perfect for our honeymoon. We stayed there a week and it's just what you need for 2 people. The location was fantastic with being on the water, and not in the bustle of the real touristy areas. Nice and out of the way, but still only 1.5 hours from all the Anne of Green Gables stuff and 45 minutes to Charlottetown. Blossom was great fun. We didn't have time to do any biking of the confederation trail, but we made use of the kayaks one morning and had a bonfire one night. Martina was super helpful with providing wood for a bonfire and giving us suggestions on places to go/things to see in the area/on the island.

Donna's place was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was very well supplied for making meals. I also appreciated the ample parking (two full-sized pick-up trucks fit easily) and proximity to great places to eat (I was sometimes too tired to use the fine kitchen)! Donna made the stay easy and convenient - thanks!

Valerie’s place was exactly as pictured. Beds were so comfy we checked to see what mattress she had lol! Lots of space for the 9 of us with 2 dogs and the kitchen had everything you could ever need. A few us were trying to find available times in the summer to come back! Pool wasn’t open yet but we did to enjoy the hottub. That sunroom…all I wanted was a big comfy chair in there and never have to leave. Great house for a fun family weekend!

As advertised. Close enough to Charlottetown and out in the country near water. My grandson enjoyed the pool. Nice and quiet even on the weekends. Aundrea was a wonderful host

The cabin was quaint and charming, cosy and peaceful. Paddle boat was a fun bonus and the included firewood for our private firepit was a great added touch! Local recommendations and very friendly hosts made our stay really lovely. Thank you!

If you’re looking for luxurious stay, this is not for you. The cottage is well maintained. It is perfect for a day or two stay. There is limited utilities and commodities. So it is better to bring some of your own. There are not many shops nearby to get the essentials. So better to bring some.

Another great stay at Kenny and Mary’s house. We arrived a little early, the housekeeper was there when we arrived, let us come in early, she was very friendly and gave our son a gift. Kenny checked in with us and ensured all our needs and expectations were met. He had plenty of fire wood available for us to have fires, the pool and deck is great way to spend the day and any downtime we had. Their house is spotless, comfortable and has everything you need. We will definitely be back.

Great hosts who came to the unit as they saw us pull in to give us some helpful instructions. They even dropped off an extra bin of firewood as ours was damp from the weekend of rain. Highly recommend this place, it was beautiful! Perfect covered shelter for our rain filled stay that enabled us to enjoy to view while staying dry

Very comfortable and everything you need. Darrin provided a brand new hair dryer when I asked for one. Thank you
