Family-friendly vacation rentals in Andermatt

If you are thinking of staying here, do it! This is an amazing home and somehow even better in person. It’s very close to the train station (we walked it with a baby and luggage and had no issue. No steep incline and mostly paved). Jacuzzi spa, sauna and laundry in the basement. Tucked away on a quiet street but right in the middle of town (next to the oldest hotel in zermatt). Marc was extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly. This spot is more of a 5 star hotel with the extra space and private amenities. We would come back in a heartbeat. Beyond impressed. There’s a reason why the reviews are all glowing.

Incredible views. Highly recommend renting a scooter to make commute up and down the hill much easier. 10/10 would stay here again.

Our stay at the Airbnb in Mathon was simply fantastic! The property is idyllically located in the mountains and offers breathtaking views – perfect for relaxing and unwinding. A special highlight was the hike to Libi, a beautiful mountain lake about 30 minutes away. The nature, the tranquility and the fresh mountain air were simply magnificent. However, the lake is still a little too cold in May. In the evening we enjoyed a cozy fondue together – a real experience! The perfect end to the day was then in the self-heated hotpot under the stars – an absolute feel-good moment that we will not soon forget. Thank you so much for this wonderful time – I'm sure we'll be back!

I recommend this apartment loft! It has beautiful views of Lake Como from the small village of Perledo which is in the mountains above Varenna. The apartment was very clean and spacious for 2 people with lots of amenities. We used the spa and heated pool which was nice. Signing up for a time slot wasn’t a problem as there was lots of availability. I recommend renting a car to drive around unless you wait for the bus and ferry schedules. There isn’t anything within walking distance so have a means of transportation to get to Varenna (10 minutes down the mountain). We had the best time and Andrea was very helpful and informative. If we had any questions we got a quick response. 10/10 recommend!!

The rental was beautiful with an amazing view. It took 10 minutes to get to town by car. Easy drive to Varenna and Bellano. The outdoor patio was great with a large area under cover.

Super charming home with absolutely stunning views of Lake Como better seen in person. The amenities were wonderful and the hosts were so very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Also, be sure to book any transportation ahead of time.

beautiful location. i prefer varnessa to belagio. flat is just the right size for a couple. if there's anything I want to mention is that it's in a much higher location than I expected. one would definitely need a car for more frequent visit to the town below. the host is so friendly and always available and responsive.

Sonia's Airbnb is breathtaking. The view of Lake Como is even more beautiful than the photos in the listing. Sonia is a wonderful host - she provides recommendations, answered all of my questions and always made sure that we had everything we needed. I wished we had explored the lake with her on her sailboat so if you get the opportunity I would book it! The only thing I would advise future renters is that the road to Sonia's Airbnb in Brunate is VERY, VERY narrow and winds around and around. It is very easy to get lost and go down the wrong street. If you're renting car, try to get the smallest car possible - it will help you to maneuver the narrows roads. There is a funicular stop close to the house so you could walk there and take it to Como or to the top of Brunate. It is much easier to get off at the top of Brunate and walk downhill to the house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

Great place great host

Maria’s house was beautiful. She stays at the same house and the room I rented was sparkling clean and beautifully decorated. There was a kitchen with all the utensils. It is small but you can cook a full meal and eat with nice crockery/utensils. The only 2 things you need to take note that: 1) the room is at the 3rd level. You need to carry the baggage up (but it isn’t an issue unless health issue and won’t take long), 2) the toilet might seem a bit small for a tall person because of the roof but it works for me. It faces the river, good fresh air and no noise once the windows are shut. Thanks for the great hospitality!

This was my favorite place to stay on our trip! I LOVED being on the lakefront! DEFINITELY recommend!!

A great place away from all the tourist packed. Peaceful and a picturesque view of the mountains

Antonietta's home was morevthan beautiful. She is a kind host and you can tell that she takes pride in it, from the inside out. She has a beautiful yard and garden, where she can be seen regularly tending to it. This place felt very comfortable. It is a climb up the mountain to get there for those who are fit. Otherwise you will have to takevthe bus most of the way up. Antonietta personally walks it every day.

This cabin exceeded our expectations!! Surrounded by beautiful landscapes in the middle of mountains, meadows, river and a spectacular view, just looking out the window is like having a painting in front of us. In addition, the cabin is equipped with everything you need for 4 people, a beautiful kitchen, dining room, living room, comfortable bathroom... The location was perfect, as we wanted a place nestled in the mountains to be at an intermediate point (not so close or so far, we went by car) of our places of interest, such as Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald... We also spent a day and went up that same road by car, we left it at a point and walked along a marked road to climb the mountain and touch the snow, it was a wonderful experience. If you don't have your own car, buses also pass near the house, you can ask for schedules. Nicolai was always attentive to messages and Rosa, her mother, a spectacular woman, made our ❤️ stay. I recommend it 100%

We were very warmly welcomed by Silvia. Check-in went very smoothly. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and enjoyed spending time there. Silvia gave us great tips for the area. The absolute highlight is the balcony and the pool. We will be happy to come back!

We had an all-around pleasant stay! Communication with the host was excellent – fast, friendly and solution-oriented. We would like to emphasize how accommodating he was: a suitable solution was found immediately for every small concern. The location of the apartment is also ideal. It is very well connected to public transport, so you can easily arrive without a car and explore the surroundings. Overall, absolutely recommended!

Absolutely LOVED staying at Anna's apartment! We adored Argegno - a lovely historic town that was much quieter than surrounding towns. Anna's apartment was spacious and the terrace and views were breathtaking. Anna was a wonderful host who was very quick to communicate. We would definitely stay again.

Christian was a superb host! He arranged a taxi from the train station to and from and welcomed us to the area. The view was AMAZING! We loved our stay there and would definitely go back.

We immensely enjoyed staying in this apartment! It was in a great location downtown and right across from the lake. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with the highlight being a rotunda with a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. Outside the apartment is a large terrace which also had great views. Another bonus is the affiliation with the hotel, which provided breakfast, pool and the Ticino Ticket (travel and discounts within Ticino). I can't recommend this apartment highly enough!

The accommodation is simply unique! The view with the pool is really gigantic! The place was a dream, we will be back! Everything was as described and in the photos. A super large and modern bathroom.

Amazing host and a breathtaking view. Too bad we couldn't use the pool due to cold windy weather but had an amazing time with family and kids. with only 10 min drive to local attractions and ferry. I would highly recommend this Michele and his property.
