Extraordinary, Off-Grid Donegal Cottage

IvoRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We spent a wonderful week in Roland's cottage. It was a perfect off-grid getaway at the end of the world, with the stunning Donegal coast right on the door step, and only the sheep as company. We managed to see just a fraction of the things this stunning part of the world has to offer, so we will be back. Even though we expected to spent the week by the firestove with books, the weather in mid October was great, always changing, with much more sunshine than we hoped for. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. John's place was perfect for us, and Naran is a special place. It is well worth a visit, and we will happily return to Ardeevin.
A serene coastal vista showcases a sandy beach bordered by gentle waves and a clear blue sky. The vibrant turquoise waters contrast with the lush green landscape, while distant hills provide a picturesque backdrop. The scene captures the tranquil beauty of the seaside location.

“Kitty’s” Portnoo Seaside Cottage

PatrickRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our cottage was cosy and cute. Location, location, location! It is just steps from the Portnoo pier and a short walk to the Narin beach. Morgan’s shop is just a short walk and Ardara or Glenties are easily accessible for anything else you might need. Lyn was attentive and responsive. We hope to return again! Coastal Cottage Lettermacaward (Dungloe 14km)

MichelleRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The cottage was an amazing place to relax and unwind, perfectly clean and welcoming! The host provided a wonderful book of instructions and local destination descriptions. We highly recommend a stay at the cottage, including a trip to Dooey Beach (a secluded treasure!) and Eliot’s Friday night for some traditional music.

Cosy, rural Thatched cottage

What a truly magical place, a place where the faeries live… that’s how beautiful it is 💛 The cottage was a dream, with stunning grounds, a babbling stream 😍… everything about it was amazing! We were warmly welcomed and given a lovely tour by Michael, the owner and a true gentleman, which set the scene for a fabulous weekend. We had such a special time … thank you so much, Michael and Yvonne. We’ve already booked to come back in two weeks! 🤩
A contemporary seating area is presented with a plush, cream-colored armchair featuring rounded edges and wooden legs. A small, natural wood stool sits beside it, contributing to the minimalistic and inviting ambiance of the space.

Fantastic weekend away to a beautiful home, in peaceful surroundings. The place was spotless and really spacious for the whole family. Selection of board games available for my kids to play and a lovely welcome pack with tea and coffee to enjoy (and the kids loved the Easter egg treat!). We felt right at home. We had some lovely runs and walks up to Bonny Glen and the nearby beach was just beautiful. Wonderful hosts, would highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

River Cottage Retreat~Sauna~Cold Plunge~Waterfall

ViktorRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Our stay at River Cottage felt less like checking into an Airbnb and more like stepping into Anna and Luke’s thoughtfully curated retreat. Nestled beside a usually gentle stream, the cottage offered a rare kind of quiet. We found ourselves unwinding in ways we hadn’t expected. As if the place itself were helping us silence the usual rush of thoughts. The sauna and cold plunge, discreetly positioned at the water’s edge, added a touch of simple luxury. They blended seamlessly into the natural surroundings rather than standing out as flashy extras, even when lit up at night. We explored the surrounding area by car and found Sligo to be the perfect complement to the cottage’s peaceful seclusion. My wife and I already feel drawn back to this little slice of Ireland - eager for another chance to recharge in the calm that Anna and Luke have created. We’re also looking forward to seeing their next ideas come to life.

A serene beach scene is captured at sunset, with gentle waves lapping at the shore. Silhouetted rocks emerge from the water, while a tranquil expanse of sand is framed by lush, green grass in the foreground. The sun casts a warm glow, reflecting on the water's surface.

River View Cottage

Lovely, atmospheric place to stay in rural Donegal with plenty to do and see nearby. Had all the amenities you need and with a very nice kitchen, bathroom, bed room and living area. Sheila was friendly and accommodating with complementary scones and apple tart.
