Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Amarante

The place has a very beautiful location with nice cultural landscape near a river. The house is architect-designed and with a unique expression. The hosts welcomed in a pleasant and efficient way. The home was homey! What can be improved is that some of the furniture in the house appears worn. You can also get an impression in the listing that there is one large pool. The pool is quite small and mostly for kids really. But all in all we are happy!

João was friendly, humane and hospitable from the first moment to the last!😊 When we arrived and walked through the door of the house, João had taken care to have the whole house air-conditioned, we walked in to the comfort of a warm house...this attention to detail says it all...the house is very beautiful and spacious! I'm happy to recommend the house, and if I can, I'll do anything to go back!😊 Keep it up João, you're doing a great job!😊

This large house is ideal if you want to be in the countryside while being 45 minutes from Porto, Braga and 30 minutes from Guimaraes. very well equipped, impeccable and warm in-person welcome, hosts who respond quickly in case of need. There is the small grocery store and the bistro 3 minutes walk. very convenient. Loved our stay!

The House and garden were absolutely perfect. Even better than the pictures and discription. We got used to the music from the amusement park on the other side of the river. We will absolutely be happy to come back.

I cannot rate this place highly enough. The reception was great, Maria was waiting for me with a smile even though I was an hour late. She let me in and showed me the place, and stayed to light the fire for me. They provided firewood and starters, and came back the next day to ensure it was topped up. The place is GORGEOUS. Even better than the photos actually. It is a wonderful place to escape to and I will certainly be back in the summer! The house is simple inside and had everything you need. The internet barely reaches which makes it a nice getaway from tech, but something to keep in mind. The shower runs cold every now and then and so the water needs to be put on and then off again. The views are perfect and there is a lovely walk to the river. Nearby Amarante is a beautiful city and certainly worth a visit. I did have time to visit the nearby vineyards, but of course it is in the wine country. This is the ideal cabin to escape to, whether for a single or for a couple. Love!

Fantastic place. Highly recommended to everyone spending a couple of days in Amarante. The view from the terrace and the bedroom was even better than on the images.

We had a great time at Maria’s house. It was beautiful and we loved the view. The patio and pool in the back were great and we loved the lemon tree and the herb garden. Maria dropped off extra coffee and arranged a cab for us. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice space, with a beautiful view, and with everything you need! I just wasn't expecting the narrow streets and lack of parking. (It's not the owner's fault, it's the area itself)

Great stay , the apartment corresponds to the photographs, having exceeded expectations. Very well equipped kitchen and good rooms . Calm location to be in family and very good for those with children. Good location, with good restaurants nearby. Very friendly host. I recommend the accommodation and will book again when you visit this area of the country again.

What to say about our experience in Amarante at Miguel and Fernanda's apartment.. It was one of our most memorable. Access to the apartment is via a steep slope but it's pretty easy if you're used to Europe's narrow streets. The views of the river and downtown are very nice. Between Miguel and Fernanda they can communicate in most any language of those staying there. The apartment is beautiful, clean and welcoming. It has everything you need and if it didn't Miguel would be right there to help. He even helped us with a solution after we had left something behind. Don't forget to visit Fernanda's candy store! We highly recommend a stay at this apartment.

I wish I could give you six stars for your exceptional home, location and kind service. Everything was perfect, sparkling clean and Amarante is stunning. This is the heart of Vino Verde wine valley, named for the year round green hills and refreshing wine. Situated only 65 KM’s drive from Porto, Guimares and Pinhao slightly off the tourist track but oh so lovely. Beautiful house right on the river, fabulous cafes, restaurants and butchers slicing up Serrano ham on the walking street, you have a perfect river and people watching view from the front balcony and complete privacy on the stone courtyard in the back. The unit entrance is situated over a lovely shop, up one flight of historic stone stairs, complete with super sturdy handrails. Architecture, food, landscapes and wine. There is nothing more could you ask for than staying in this beautiful home. Thank you Mi and Joao for greeting us and making us feel so welcome and at home with the treats in your Portuguese home.

We loved our stay without a doubt that it would be a place to return to. Note that they have attention to detail, the space was very clean and the location is excellent and calm.

Excellent space for a family to enjoy a wonderful rest. Clear instructions at the address, photos and amenities. Although it was only one night, it was still possible to enjoy the wonderful pool. Thank you for having us, hoping to return soon and for longer! More than recommended!

Ana’s apartment was perfect for my stay at Guimaraes. It was super easy to find and check in with Ana, who was very responsive with her communication. The apartment was clean, uncluttered and had all the amenities required. The location was perfect, on a quiet street but still central to the old town and surrounding areas. Highly recommend!

Great location, close to the historic center, Guimarães Shopping, bus station, restaurants, supermarkets and all kinds of shops. The structure of the apartment is very good and with impeccable cleanliness. The room is large and the atmosphere is peaceful. The family welcomed me very warmly and I am very grateful for the stay. Excellent, clean, and modern apartment! It had everything one could need, including a stocked kitchen with great coffee, a nice shower, and air conditioning.
