We enjoyed a very relaxing and easy 7 days at Marie's house. The place is stunning, even more so than the pictures, and the effort that has gone into maintaining it is evident. Marie was always responsive when we had any questions either about the house or the local area, and waited to meet us after our late night flight, so we wouldn't miss the turning for the house. Getting into Tavira is super easy, the only consideration is that the driveway of the house is long and very bumpy. You don't need a 4x4 or anything, but it was a bit of a surprise the first time we got there! Would very much recommend this place and the local area. Merci, Marie!

The house to disengage, in simplicity, refreshing. It is very well equipped with dishes, linens, we have the impression of arriving at friends who have left everything available. The big plus is this beautiful beach 2 steps away . It just went too fast

We had a great stay with my parents. The garden is very beautiful. The main house is very spacious and is very well equipped. We have young children and they loved all of the toys available.

A short summer getaway for couples. The accommodation matches the description and photos, it even looks smaller in the photos than it actually is, ideal for families of 4 or even one or two more people. The surrounding area is excellent for the beach, very close, just a short walk away, the only thing missing is a lack of street entertainment and walking, but it is ideal for those looking for a quiet place to relax for a few days at the beach. The neighborhood is extremely quiet and safe. We will definitely repeat.

It's a wonderful house. It is very well located. It has everything to enjoy it. Too bad the deal is simply business. Check-out time was 12 noon, we asked to extend it a little, and for this we had to pay a disproportionate amount for 5 more hours, all by message. Airbnb should regulate that anyway. Since we were going with a baby, and we had a very late flight, we had to do it. This is the first time this has happened to us without anyone checking in the next day (we know because as soon as we paid there were no problems). Of course, it's not mandatory, it's a courtesy, and other times we haven't needed it, or we haven't asked for it. They made a serious mistake by telling us that breakfast was included, and when we went, they told us that they had made a mistake. And that everyone makes mistakes. Either way, the house is wonderful. Perfect to spend a few great days.

The views from the terrace where we sat in the morning with our breakfast were stunning and in the evening we sat in the garden watching the sunset . Very easy to get to supermarket and a few restaurants. Absolutely loved this place.

Fantastic location right in the center with everything close by, super clean and cozy stay with a great terrace. I traveled with two friends, we had a great time and the host's attention was great, we felt super good, we hope to return.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Quinta Castor! The house is simply wonderful, with an inviting pool and all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The environment is extremely calm and serene, ideal for those looking for a refuge from the bustle of everyday life. One of the highlights of our stay was without a doubt the host, José. From the first contact, it was always very attentive and available, making sure that we had everything we needed and making us feel truly at home. Our hospitality and attention to detail made our experience even more special. We recommend Quinta Castor to everyone without any hesitation! It is a place that we will certainly want to return.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor and has a large, closed on both sides, balcony with a magnificent sea view. There was actually everything in the kitchen to prepare something fresh from the market hall. Maybe a little tip: a large pan would be urgently needed because the fish to be bought does not fit in the existing pan. The path to the beach was easy to find and quick to reach. The parking space in the underground parking lot was also great!

We’ve not stayed at a better location, highly recommended. Located just a few minutes walk from a world-class beach. A secure location within a complex that allows you to reside with others in the community, while at the same time having privacy. Every convenience and necessity is made available. The kitchen facilities are modern and very complete, all that you may need during an extended visit is provided. Manta Rota is a delightful village, we made many new friends. The hosts, Lucy and Carlos, are welcoming, helpful and friendly. They involved themselves personally to be sure we were comfortable and fully satisfied. They made every effort to ensure our stay was memorable. They have a flair for decoration and delight in creating a chic and upscale ambiance. The cleanliness, quality and decor is first rate. Facilities are modern & in top condition. Description and photos are completely accurate. Heating systems were excellent. We booked to return, which confirms our recommendation.

We had a fantastic family stay (3 adults and 3 children) in this wonderful house! From the beginning, communication with the host was excellent — always available, with useful and relevant directions that greatly facilitated our arrival and stay. The house was perfectly prepared to welcome families with children: we found high chairs, a baby bath, beach towels, a parasol, a hair dryer and many other details that made all the difference. We truly feel at home. The location is great, in a very quiet area, ideal for resting. The heated pool was one of the highlights — perfect for relaxing with the little ones. The nearby beach is also very calm, ideal for children to run and play freely. In terms of convenience, there are supermarkets less than 5 minutes away by car, and right next to the house there is a pharmacy and a cafe with delicious bread (1 minute by car). Without a doubt, an experience to repeat.

This was our 5th stay at the old village but first with Joanna. Apartment was lovely, really clean and well maintained. We loved the location right next to Artisan bar and pool. Joanna was a great host, extremely responsive and helpful. My only criticism is the beds in the second bedroom weren’t very comfy. But apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

We had the pleasure of the staying at Rita’s place for a week in April 2025. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped, the rooftop terrace with a bbq is perfect for dinner with fresh seafood from the local market. It was our 3rd visit to the Algarve region and Manta Rota is one of our favorite spots so far, we’d definitely return to Manta Rota and book the apartment again.

This is a really lovely little apartment in a fantastic location - in the heart of everything yet peaceful too. Hosts are great communicators - couldn’t fault it, just what we needed!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The absolutely stunning sea view is breathtaking, and the long sandy beach just across the street made it easy to enjoy the seaside every day. The location is fantastic—full of great restaurants and even places to rent bikes, so you can easily explore the beautiful coastline on two wheels. The apartment itself is clean, fresh, and modern, with all the kitchen appliances you need to cook comfortably. The bed is really comfy, and I loved that there were some books and even table games available for relaxing evenings in. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable seaside getaway!

We had a lovely time! What a unique stay! We loved having the pool to use on a quiet day or to refresh as we explored the area. As a family of 4 we had more than enough space. This Air Bnb view was beyond stunning, and the location was great - it was a quick drive to Old Town Albufeira and some beautiful beaches! It had lots of parking around the property which was convenient. Additionally, the host Galyna, was kind and an amazing communicator and always responded fast if we needed support. Would stay here again!

Ricardo and Jennie’s lovely apartment is every bit as good as the pictures and reviews suggest. It is clean, bright, modern, and comfortable, with the most gorgeous sea view. Perfectly located close to all the promenade has to offer, but still very quiet and peaceful. It is clear how much thought and effort they have put into the property, from the tasteful decor to the items for the beach, and everything in between. It has everything you could possibly need and more. Ricardo and Jennie were also very thoughtful providing items for our baby. I have been on Airbnb for 12 years and this was my favorite one yet. We will be back, and now we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Quarteira! Thank you, Ricardo and Jennie (and Vera!)
