My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

The enclosed front porch displays a view through large, multi-pane windows, allowing natural light to illuminate the space. A small decorative birdcage sits on a white ledge, while greenery and neighboring houses can be seen outside, contributing to the inviting atmosphere.

This bright and quaint historical little house is one block from the downtown district. This 2nd retreat has a charming enclosed front porch for sitting, a quiet serene space to enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine, to read a book or just to sit and relax. Latitudes Tavern Apartment

A premium spot in downtown Alpena. The center of downtown is two blocks down the road at 2nd Avenue and Chisholm St. We are located in a premium spot to find dinner, entertainment, shopping and most importantly nightlife. The space is located above a bar. So...it can be a little noisy for some. But if you are ok with some noise or don't normally turn in until later in the evening, we are for you. This is my group's second time staying at Beth's place. Every other year me, my dad, and a couple friends drive up to Michigan to fish. The house is situated perfect for us. The dock makes it easy for us to keep the boats right there at the back door so we don't have to worry about anyone messing with our stuff. They've installed outlets out back, making it easy on us to charge the batteries. They even have a spot across the road to keep our trailers. Beth is always quick to respond. She and her husband and great hosts, and we never have to worry about anything. Everything is exactly as described which is why we knew booking this place would suit all of our needs. If you're wanting a great place to stay on long lake, this is it.

Matt and Dayna’s place was beautiful and cozy. Linens and bed were extremely comfortable. They provided everything needed to enjoy our weekend stay along with coffee and some snacks! They were very responsive and we appreciated their local guide book. Had an amazing stay along with a canoe trip down the Au Sable. Thank you so much for sharing your place. Loved looking at all the work your family put into Blue Fern from your before and after photos.

Lori was great to talk to, extremely helpful, and definitely went the extra mile to make sure my stay was great! The beach was beautiful and very peaceful! I enjoyed my stay :)

Beautiful home and perfect for our extended family weekend. The pool was such a nice treat and able to walk everywhere. Only one shower requires coordination - but we managed! The only watchout is that, while the kitchen has great glasses and dish ware, it isn’t very well stocked for cooking - just the basic pans and no spices.
