Marittima consists of two bars a family run Trattoria and a small local shop for buying fresh groceries. The house is on two floors ,whitewashed with high vaulted ceilings and plenty of light,tastefully decorated in a minimalist style. Walking distance to the cove of Acquaviva and a minutes car drive down the unspoilt Salento coastline.

Spettacolare, il posto super accogliente pulito e ben fornito. Giulia e i suoi genitori si sono fatti trovare sempre disponibili per ogni nostra richiesta. Die kleine Wohnung liegt wirklich traumhaft. Die vorgelagerte Straße hat uns kaum gestört, da der Blick auf das Meer und die Dünenlandschaft - sowohl bei stürmisch-regnerischem Wetter als auch bei Sonnenschein einfach fantastisch ist. Den etwas längeren Weg zu Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (fußläufig etwa 20-30 Minuten) nahmen wir gerne zum Anlass für ausgiebige Morgen-Spaziergänge am Meer und durch die (saisonbedingt) noch etwas verschlafenen Straßen des Ferien, Wochenend- und Sommerhäuschen geprägten Torre di San Giovanni. Insgesamt ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in das gesamte Salento. Wie schon öfters beschrieben, ist die Wohnung mit der kleinen Küche top ausgestattet, wir haben hier überhaupt nichts vermisst . Die Kommunikation mit Emanuela und ihren Eltern ist vorbildlich. Die Restaurant Tipps konnten wir nicht alle ausprobieren, bei Nachfragen hatten wir spätestens nach 30 Minuten hilfreich und zielführende Antworten! Danke für diese unvergesslichen Tage!!!

Puglia! Lovely Salento House-8km from the Sea

The house was fantastic, especially for the kids who loved the swimming pool and the patio which had plenty of space for them. The house is also beautiful and spacious and we enjoyed being able to do outdoor bbqs, eating al-fresco. The only issue were the mosquitos, so you need to make sure you have lots of repellent on hand. In my opinion, a necessary addition for such a large house is another toilet and shower with more privacy, especially for a bigger group. It’s also worth mentioning, that if you want to enjoy the gorgeous beaches, great restaurants etc, you really do need a car. Because Surano (in terms of amenities) is a dead town. We had an excellent time, the beaches nearby are really spectacular and Matt was a fabulous and very responsive host.

La casetta ist ein wunderschönes kleines Häuschen mit wunderbarem Ausblick mitten in der Natur. Perfekt für 2 Personen, die einen ruhigen Urlaub in Meeresnähe verbringen wollen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küche ist mit dem Grundsätzlichen gut ausgestattet und das Mobiliar gut gepflegt. Die Aussendusche ist traumhaft! Man hat viel Privatsphäre trotz des zweiten Ferienhäuschens, das direkt hinter und etwas oberhalb von La casetta liegt. Der Zufahrtsweg ist stellenweise etwas holprig und eng, sodass das Auto nicht zu groß sein sollte.

Il proprietario, Mauro, è una persona affabile e disponibile: ci ha fatto sentire subito a nostro agio. Ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie rispetto alla casa e ai dintorni indicandoci varie spiagge e località che vale la pena visitare. Sì è sempre mostrato reperibile per informazioni e necessità varie. La casa è fornita di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno gradevole. E' pulita. Nei dintornii sono presenti diverse spiagge con dune, macchia mediterranea ed un mare cristallino. In un'ora, un'ora e mezza di macchina si possono raggiungere rinomate località come Alberobello, Ostuni, S. Maria di Leuca, Otranto, Lecce e visitare incantevoli paesi come Locorotondo e Cisternino. I prodotti locali sono ottimi. Bellissimo l'artigianato.

Es ist eine wirklich große Wohnung, sodass man ohne Probleme länger da bleiben kann. Ab Oktober ist in dem Ort aber nicht mehr viel los und man ist auf das Auto angewiesen. Wirklich schöne Strände sind in 20 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen, ebenso richtige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die große Küche ist auch toll und sehr praktisch zum Kochen aber das vorhandene Geschirr und die vorhandenen Töpfe und Pfannen sind nicht besonders gut. Ich hoffe, dass der Host hier noch ein bisschen was verbessert. Die Einrichtung ist neu aber doch spartanisch. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Das Sofa eher nicht. Dass es keine normalen transparenten Fenster gibt ist irgendwie komisch. Ein weiteres Plus: In der Gegend gibt es viele Katzen.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl bei Maria gefühlt. Das Haus war sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet, alles war neuwertig. Maria war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und gut erreichbar und hat uns z.B auch ein extra Set Handtücher bereit gestellt. Der Strand und das Zentrum mit vielen Restaurants war nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und somit brauchte man das Auto vor Ort nicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

This is the perfect spot for a quiet beach holiday! Our host was gracious and very responsive. She had delightful pastries ready upon our arrival and made us feel right at home. Parking at the front door made an easy time of arriving. Markets, gelato, restaurants and a small beach are all just steps from your door. And additional yellow sandy beaches are a few minutes ride or 10 minutes walk away. We were able to swim in late September and it was still warm enough to enjoy the water and beaches. I wish I could give this 10 stars!
