What a beautiful home located on wonderful lake community. The outdoor area, landscaping, pool, boat dock and view of the lake were our family’s favorite amenities. The host was extremely responsive to any of our questions both during and prior to our stay. We would definitely consider this home again in our future travel plans.

Nancy and her husband David were the best hosts! They were quick to respond to anything that we needed. Our stay was after hurricane Helene and this canceled some of our activities. When I told Nancy about this, she was quick to give me other suggestions that were similar! They got a bonfire going for us when we asked and the views from this property were just breath taking!

Beautiful place on the lake the views were incredible and loved all the decks with various views of the lake! Incredible space and loved the living room and kitchen area opening up beautiful lake views. Beds were extremely comfortable and the indoor pool area was just such an added bonus! Close to many places to eat and grocery store. I will for sure be back. Space was rented for corporate visit for a conference in Hickory at the convention center and each of us felt like we had great space and privacy. The hosts are amazing and cannot wait to come back!

My family and I loved this home so much that we can’t wait to go back. The home is beautiful inside and out. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, amazing deck and dock. The view from this home is absolutely gorgeous. We loved watching people enjoying the lake on their boats and jet skis. My daughters loved the paddle boat. The home is fully supplied with life vests also. We really appreciated that. This home outshined any home I ever booked. 10 out of 10! Can’t get over the views and multiple decks. We will be back :).

The house is at the top of the mountain - away from it all! Very peaceful and beautiful! Plenty of room for our party of 9. There is a wood burning fireplace - which we did not use - but the smell of wood fire is throughout the house. This is something we LOVED! We will definitely stay again if the need arises.

We loved our Thanksgiving stay at Ollie’s Hideaway in Hickory. It provided us plenty of room to celebrate the holiday with our growing family, including an infant, toddler and child. Highlights: extremely clean - spotless bathrooms! Plenty of cookware and utensils in the kitchen available for use. Gorgeous fall views - leaves falling all around and easily viewable through large windows all around the upper floor. Lots of space!! This house is larger and more beautiful that can even be shown through the pictures. Lowlights: Unfortunately the tv in the downstairs bedroom would not work for us and the air hockey table didn’t seem to be blowing air on both ends which made it more difficult to play - neither of these are a big deal but worth the mention. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

This place is AMAZING! Secluded, peaceful and has the best views. Stephanie was available with the 2 questions I had and responded quickly. The house is better than anticipated and the views were out of this world. 45 min drive to Boone or Banner Elk. Hot tub was great and the bed was comfy. I HIGHLY recommend this house!

Lisa was a very responsive host and we appreciate that the property is dog friendly! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary items for our stay and the bathrooms were pristine. It's a new home, so everything is spotless and comfortable. The host lives on site, but we barely heard them while we were staying there.

We had the most peaceful stay. My husband and I were there for work. I am also finishing my bachelor’s degree. Having the extra den/ bedroom was perfect for that. I bring my on portable desk so the private space was exactly what I needed. The entire place is was well equipped for all our needs. We highly recommend and hope to get to stay again in the future. Thanks for everything! You both were amazing hosts!

We were not able to stay on our dates as our daughter woke up extremely sick. I called Randy and he was willing to move the dates for a future date. I really appreciate him working with us and was unfortunate we had to cancel the morning of. We look forward to staying there soon.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The view was spectacular, the area was peaceful, and it was close to lots of things to do. The apartment was stocked with everything I needed for the stay. I had such a wonderful stay! Karen and Lee are such friendly and inviting hosts! They were very flexible and more than willing to help if I needed anything! The place is so cozy yet so spacious! The garden area is beautiful and the hot tub is awesome! It’s walking distance to downtown Hickory or a 2-3 minute car drive. So many adorable little shops and places to eat there! If you’re staying in the Hickory area then I 10 out of 10 recommend this place! Can’t wait to come back!

There can be some noise from other guests upstairs (which is noted in the listing), but it was never too loud or disruptive.
