Desde do momento que chegamos a casa nos sentimos acolhidos pela Dona Ana. Foi tudo como descrito e ainda melhor. A casa era super confortável, preparada para o frio e com tudo que tínhamos direito. Muitos jogos, livros e cozinha completa para passar o Natal. A casa era em uma região calma mas que tinha tudo a volta. Exatamente o que procurávamos. Obrigada por toda a recepção e carinho. Já queremos reservar para o ano que vem. Foi um prazer passar o Natal em Proença - a-Velha.

Wij hadden een fantastisch verblijf van 2 weken in dit prachtige huis van Eric. Heerlijk rustig en mooi uitzicht over het bos, heuvels en zelfs het bekende Monsanto was vanuit de tuin goed te zien. En dan de variëteit aan vogels zoals de HOP, de Bijeneter, de Koekoek en nog veel meer... Ook de achtertuin met de sinaasappel bomen was een verrassing. Wat is echte verse sap toch lekker!!! Het dorp Proenca a Velha was ook leuk met de steegjes, kerkje, museumpje en huisjes. Het café beneden was handig voor "vergeten" boodschappen. De inwoners van het dorp allemaal heel vriendelijk. De supermarkt in Idanha a Nova was heel goed te bereiken (ongeveer 10 km). Wat hebben we genoten in het huis zelf, de grote keuken, de gezellige authentieke huiskamer, de slaapkamers, badkamers, de houtkachel en de buitenruimte voor het huis (heel privé). Fijn zitje om te vertoeven. Kortom: ZEKER EEN AANRADER!! Dankjewel Eric voor alle snelle communicatie. Hopelijk tot een volgende keer.

O espaço está simplesmente incrível, super acolhedor, perfeitamente bem inserido na beleza da vila e o terraço é excelente para poder apreciar a magnifica vista da vila e arredores.

Antonio is super responsive and made it easy to find the location. The room is just as displayed. Shower is small, but everything works well. Has an A/C for cold/heat too, which was great as it was a cold night when we were there. Definitely recommend. Tight streets, but nice to have parking up by the room. You could also park at the lesser-known bottom gate and walk up, very close to the room as well. If you have a small car then you could drive from that small gate. Didn't find great restaurants in Monsanto, but Antonio suggested another one, so we walked the 15 minutes to the town beneath that had a place called O Carlos that had good food and was open until 10pm. Castle ruins are great. Monsanto town is like a story book. Amazing sunsets.

Procurávamos um local para passar uns dias tranquilos em família e foi exatamente o que encontrámos - uma casa espaçosa, bonita, nova, bem decorada, com uma ótima piscina, com um espaço relvado para estar ao ar livre e fazer um churrasco e uma excelente sala para conversar e jogar alguns jogos de grupo. Cozinha totalmente equipada, ar condicionado em todas as divisões e muita luz. A repetir!!

My stay at Susan‘s place was unique and unforgettable. Not only the location and the view are breathtaking but the vibe of the space and its very welcoming hosts are very special.. I strongly recommend staying here as a starting point to discover Serra da Estella and all the beautiful villages and river beaches around… The apartment and its equipped kitchen has all you would need. Swimming in the natural pool filled with source water feels like swimming in the river, with an incredible view on the mountains around… I spent a week here, mostly to work in a quiet environment and really loved it … Can’t wait to return again…

Surrounded by fields of grass and almond trees. Comfy, shady gazebos, a giant white mulberry tree, the friendliest black lab, and sounds of birds, frogs and tinkling bells of sheep grazing in the distance. Paradise in Portugal.

Originally we were planning to go to Boom festival and were looking to rent a house nearby. It turned out that the house was much better than the festival. The property is authentic and beautiful. The house is full of history and every detail is so special. We really enjoyed our time inside and outside on the patio by the swimming pool. The kids were absolutely happy there! The kitchen is so well equipped. The living room area is stunning. The bedrooms are super comfy and the air conditioner did its job providing a refreshing coolness. Highly recommend to everyone! Thanks to to the super friendly and welcoming host!
