Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Akureyri

We had a great 3 day stay at Sveinns place in Akureyri and used it as a base camp for daytrips in the area/region. We were 3 adults and found the place spacious and clean with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Large kitchen with all the things we needed for our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood 5-8 min driving from downtown Akureyri. There are grocery stores not so far from the house. We can strongly recommend this place.

Our stay in Öxnadalur was one of the most impressive we’ve ever had. The house was charming and we felt immediately at home. The surrounding nature and view on the mountains is breathtaking! We spent hours sipping coffee at the fire place, while the wind and snow were howling outside or watching beautiful northern lights right in front of the door. Sif and Oli were always very helpful when we were asking for any help or recommendations. It is definitely worth a visit and a real adventure in winter times.

Wonderful home and even more wonderful hosts! Stayed here on our trip around the ring road and it was by far our favorite place we stayed the night!!

Comfortable and large apartment. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bathroom. Thermal water jacuzzi available - great! Effortless communication with your host. Recommended!

The house was absolutely gorgeous with a very luxurious feel and all the amenities one could ever need. The host was very gracious and accommodating with excellent communications throughout the process. The house sits at the bottom of a beautiful snow mountain so the view is fabulous！

Even though the weather did not cooperate with our plans on this trip, having Soffia’s cozy apartment to come back to saved the day. This is one of the cleanest Air BNB’s we have ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the shower piping hot! There is a wonderful museum in Akureyri that has an amazing collection of maps and we loved Kaffi Ilmur for the delicious soups and pastries. Unfortunately we did not get to go whale watching because the weather was poor, but we can definitely recommend Baccala for the fish and chips! Soffia is an amazing host. She responded quickly to messages and was very, very thoughtful. We look forward to returning and cannot recommend Soffia’s cozy apartment enough.

Three of us stayed here for one night. The washer and dryer was a huge bonus which we were not expecting. It had been rainy during our trip so having these amenities mid-trip was so helpful. We appreciated the size of the space, plenty of towels, and coffee that was provided. It was a great location and had good communication about self check-in before arriving. Overall, it was a great stay and would stay again.

Very friendly host, that quickly responded to our messages. We were able to book the place on a very short notice. The place was according to the description and we had a wonderfull stay there. The apartment is located on a quiet street, with almost no traffic. Downtown and restaurants are only a few minutes walk away.
