Vacation rentals in Akil

Flor and Manuel 's place is so peaceful, comfortable and private. Its location a bit on the outside of Santa Elena is perfect. You can hear all the birds in the morning. As we were 6, we had all the 3 small round houses (2 persons / house) + the swimming pool + the summer kitchen building, ie the entire place, just for us ! Each small house is very comfortable, with its own bathroom. All the place was very clean. Last but not least, Flor and Manuel were very kind !

I enjoyed my stay. It’s a nice apartment. I had everything I needed.

Staying at the cabin in Akil was a dream. I slept incredibly well, got to go for a swim in the morning, eat fresh fruit, and nap in the hammock after lunch. It was gorgeous and Patricia and her husband were so kind and thoughtful. I’d love to stay there again in the future!

The place was very nice and matched the pictures. We arrived early and the host was flexible with the check in time making it easier for our stay. They house is very confortable and private making for an enjoyable stay.

La Posada San Diego es un excelente lugar para estar en Tekax: céntrico, cómodo y con todas las facilidades. Ideal para ir en familia y amigos. Sin duda, regresaremos, pues hay muchas cosas por hacer en la bella sultana de la sierra. gracias por su hospitalidad!

This is an old henequen hacienda that has been restored by owners who clearly care a great deal about it. The grounds are amazing, with incredible flowers & birds, short trails for exploring, and its own private cenote. It's great for relaxing, reconnecting with friends, exploring the cenotes in cuzama/homun, and daytrips to Merida/Uxmal/Izamal. Very quiet and peaceful. Responsive and helpful hosts. Just be aware that the hacienda is in a very rural area, and you will need to be somewhat self-sufficient as far as groceries/meals/etc. It's a unique (and incredible) experience.

Sin duda, nuestra mejor estancia en el Yucatán, y somos viejos adíctos: es nuestro cuarto viaje en la península. El trato de Jimy, el encargado, fue genial; la disponibilidad de María fue excelente. No faltó nada, la colección de guías de naturaleza para ojear, para unos amantes de la naturalezas como nosotros fue la guinda. Desde luego, si volvemos al Yucatán repetiremos el rancho.

El lugar está increíble, considero que las fotos no le hacen justicia. Hay cámaras que dan a la entrada principal y a la piscina. Cerca hay cenotes a los que se puede ir caminando, así como tiendas y cocinas, el centro está aprox a 15min caminando. La casa es chica y las camas son individuales, pero pueden dormir más personas en las hamacas o en el sofá cama. La cocina está muy bien equipada: vasos, sartenes, tazas, bowl, platos, utensilios, etc. eso sí, como esta al aire libre, laven todo antes de usarlo. Recomendaría estancia de +4 días para poder disfrutar de la casa y de los cenotes/de Homun en sí, es una opción increíble para hospedarse, puedes comer afuera, en el jardín para vibes más bonitas.
