Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Akasia

A beautiful home set up with a well thought of layout for people travelling with kids… Clear instructions of how to access the place and the host is quite friendly… I had an awesome stay in both her places with my family. Definitely redoing this in our next visit to Pretoria…

If you're looking for a getaway in the city, you're looking at the right place. Easily accessible in Johannesburg and close to amenities and activities but in a location that is private and beautiful. You'll feel like you're out of the city, while being in it. The place is beautiful and matches the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed my friend's bachelorette weekend.

We enjoyed a family weekend away, spent a lot of time in the refreshing pool and lounging outside on the pool-side swing and chairs. The rooms were well air conditioned, although the living area is a little warm without Aircon. We didn’t realise the one queen bedroom was a flat on the other side of the garage (beautiful, spacious and with its own small kitchenette and its own external entrance) although it can provide privacy if you prefer it that way with your booking. Daniel who helps receive you as you get there was MORE than helpful and was so wonderful in assisting us where we had questions. Lovely large kitchen, lots and lots of cupboards space in the rooms and kitchen as well. You will most definitely enjoy your stay!

This was our second stay at Jacquie's place. The townhouse's location is ideal if you like privacy and peace. Inside everything is neat, and everything you need is there, including coffee maker and air fryer. The air-conditioner is sufficient to cool the whole unit and an evaporative cooler is available when needed. Everything was in place and easy to find. There were clear instructions to use everything, including the generator. I would definitely recommend it, even for longer stays. Thanks again Jacquie for making everything so easy and comfortable.

An absolutely wonderful weekend at Martens place. Marten was a great host and very responsive. Brave is an absolute star, he made sure we felt right at home and was very helpful. Martens home is really beautiful and exceeds the pictures. The back yard is stunning and so peaceful. It was a cold weekend but we managed to swim abit and loved it. I wish we could have stayed longer, however we already planning to visit again soon. I honestly can't find any faults. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

We enjoyed our stay at Chris’s even with our days being extremely rainy. The indoor fire became a daily essential to dry our clothes and make the place cosy. Chris was great at communicating, and responsive when we had troubles getting into the gated community entrance (new security system in place) it looks like the photos, there is a lot of security at the home with initially intimidating locks and bars on windows, but we felt safe and met some friendly locals. Recommend the kosmos cafe and the walk along the lake, and good hikes nearby. Thanks Chris!

I travelled to Gauteng on business. Apartment has everything. Attention to detail. Very clean, neat, quiet and comfortable. Very safe with security and cameras. Reasonably priced. Convenience of basement parking and a lift to the apartments, if it is raining or if guests has heavy luggage bags, groceries, etc. Centrally located and just across the road from Rivonia Village shopping centre, with Checkers and several stores, eating places, etc on your door step. Easy access to main routes and close to other suburbs, eg: Bryanston, Morningside, etc. Host is proffesional. I highly recommend this unit. Perfect for both corporate travellers and leisure.

The most beautiful Air B&B I’ve stayed at. It was very beautiful, clean and smelled absolutely great. Uwa was an amazing host, responded very quickly and very friendly. The amenities and everything in the unit was top notch. I will definitely come back for another stay!

The was one of the best air B&B’s I have stayed at. We were safe and felt at home. My son loved that he could play in the garden. The host was also incredibly accommodating at all times. I would love to go back there again.

We arrived in the dark, but check in was easy. Stairs to the unit well lit but when you open the door, the first impression is..wow! Extremely spacious, very well equipped with so much well thought through attention to detail. But then we opened the veranda doors, exactly like the pictures on the web, then peace, tranquility and a gorgeous view takes control of you. Plenty firewood for campfire, of course after the braai. The rest of the unit stunning, even the small outside second bedroom. All and all, we had a great stay, for good value for money. Will definitely go back to the Hidden Gem! Thank you.

Lovely stay at Obakeng’s place. Lovely furnishings and very easy check-in and out. Only inconvenience was the estate/complex had a lot of after-hours noise/parties and the security aren’t that great at sorting out problems (especially when it came to parking) But Obakeng was more than willing to sort things out when they arose. Good host, great place, sub-ideal location.

We had a peaceful and enjoyable stay at this property. The space was perfect for our large group, with plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. The pictures on Airbnb accurately represent the property, so there were no surprises upon arrival. Daphne was very accessible and communicated clearly throughout the booking and stay. While accessing the location was a bit challenging, co-host Beezy was incredibly helpful and patient. Beezy made sure we had clear directions and kept us at ease throughout the process, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would recommend this place for anyone looking for a spacious, rustic experience and serene getaway!

This place was just perfect for what we were looking for. The place is really well kept and looks exactly as it does in the images provided. The unit is well equipped for all your needs and the host is available at all times to assist. We are planning on returning for a another peaceful retreat.

responsive host, beautiful place close enough to the city. but secluded enough to feel disconnected. only point worth noting Is the walk up to the unit is quite steep so recommend to pack light to avoid multiple trips. all in all a great stay
