Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Akaroa

We were a group of two couples staying for a long weekend to go to a wedding at Waipuna Estate. Jane's AirBnB was a perfect locaton for us as we were very handy to the wedding venue and also close to Tai Tapu, Halswell and Lincoln for restaurants, etc. The home was spacious and very homely and relaxing. We had everything that we needed and would recommend this as a peaceful and private place to stay.

Awesome stay after a big day tramping. Fire all set and lights on for us! House is perfect with a great living area -absolutely spotlessly clean and some really nice touches! Bed and linen very comfortable. Awesome communication and super helpful letting us leave a car an extra night too

We stayed here for a week and it really felt like home for us. The house was perfect and had everything we wanted if not more! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you needed. It was a warm comfortable home. We loved the decor and art pieces. The street was nice and quiet, it was a good area with the supermarket just around the corner. It was our first experience using Airbnb and after staying here , it is an option we will use again when travelling. If we have the chance we would definitely stay here again, perfect home for our family holiday. Thanks Danielle x

There were three of us staying for three nights. Wish we would have stayed longer. This is a fabulous house, full stop. If it's available for the days that work for your travel schedule, do yourself a favor and book it. The views are great from the decks, and it's such a peaceful place. It's an easy drive into Christchurch and convenient for exploring nearby areas like Sumner and Akaroa. The house was new, large, tastefully decorated, and super clean. Communications with Viv were excellent and replies were prompt. Check-in and check-out were super easy too. This house is a 10/10.

Lovely place, very centrally located -- one day we simply walked in to centre of Christchurch and we were kind of surprised how doable that was because the place didn't seem like it was close to centre of town. Felt more suburban. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Everything was clean, and was nice to have a garden. We were a couple, and the place was perfect for us. It can theoretically accommodate more given there's a second bedroom but that would be a bit of a stretch, especially in winter, unless you move the dining table from kitchen to living room or some such. We hugely enjoyed our stay.

Have booked the property for me and my girls to prep for my wedding and for us newlyweds to just soak in the moment. Perfect location. Close enough to the wedding venue and restaurants around, spacious, and very peaceful. Love how homey the house is. It was squeaky clean as well. Thank you for sharing your property.

Wonderful, lovely decor. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen was really nice. We had a relaxing stay.

We came together as a family to this home to celebrate Christmas. It was a beautiful place with stunning views. We could easily make dinners from scratch using all the kitchen equipment included in the home. One note for future AirBnb'ers to this property, the cleaning instructions are rather extensive along with the $160+ USD cleaning fee tagged onto the booking.

Everything you need, great friendly hosts that leave treats, and also very gracious allowing our Humphrey the Labrador come and stay too, who adored being so close to the beach. Fantastic Airbnb located within walking distance of Christchurch’s bars, restaurants and tourist attractions. The Airbnb itself is stunning. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The communication with the host was flawless. I cannot fault this property. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommend.

Maree hosts a fantastic, beautiful, comfortable renovated villa home in a superb location that remains private and serene. She was a great host and I could not recommend staying here highly enough.

Outstanding home - everything we could have wished for.

Big group of us stayed for the marathon and had a great time! Plenty of space for 15 of us to sleep, pool table and dartboard kept us entertained for hours. Outdoor BBQ area was great too. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Lovely old cottage tucked away at the end of a road. Easy walk through Hagley Park to the town centre. There was everything we needed to feel at home. Very clean throughout. Particularly enjoyed the cosy lounge to chill at the end of busy days in Christchurch. Roomy bedrooms and a great kitchen too. John gave us useful tips on getting the best from our stay. Highly recommend Brockworth Cottage.

Yes it is older and well used but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Beautiful setting and we felt at home, so close but out of the hustle and bustle.

Great place, kids friendly, spa needs to be upgraded but pool and outside sitting area is awesome,would love to stay again 😊
