Cabin vacation rentals in Afton

The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

Comfortable beds, super clean hot tub and such a nice place to spend spring break. Excellent communication and very pleasant hosts. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.

We had a fantastic time at the cabin! The place is adorable and we loved looking at the deer and stars at night from the hot tub. Short drive from Shenandoah and nearby restaurants. 100% would recommend.

Stayed here for half of spring break. Place was clean and had a lot of great amenities. There were a few things that were a little confusing when we checked in but the host responded very quickly and all things were completely resolved. Close to Luray Caverns, workable for some beautiful hikes in Shenandoah, and right on the river. We really enjoyed our time. Would recommend to anyone planning to stay in the area.

Restful and fun getaway. I wish I could click my heels and be back there now. The cabin is beautiful and cozy. We felt right at home from the moment we pulled up the long driveway. Once inside, lots of space and everything you could need was there, to include, hot cocoa and coffee. The collection of dvds was exciting to sort through and my kids and I enjoyed watching Jurassic Park. Great space outside for tossing a football and frisbee and soaking in the beauty of nature. Oh and the view of the stars from the hot tub was simply the best. Time spent at Naked Creek was worth every penny. ~Seema and Ron

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We stay at a lot of Air BnB locations, and this is most definitely one of the top places we have rented. The most important things : spotless and clean throughout, beds were incredibly comfortable, kitchen stocked with any items you could possibly need (including assorted spices), location excellent for access to Shenandoah or the town of Elkton. The little extras earned this a perfect rating, like a clean hot tub, serene surroundings, stocked coffee and bottled water, and my personal favorite - heated toilet seats. Never thought I would care about that, but they were fantastic! 😂 We will definitely be back.

The cabin was a wonderful getaway from the fast paced work life my group and I lead and a very reasonable distance from multiple wineries. All of the hosts were extremely responsive at all times which was nice as we had some last minute changes to make for which they were very accommodating. For those interested this is definitely a great stay. Only note is to remember you'll be in the middle of the woods and there may be many insects around the exterior of the house, primarily wasps and stink bugs, so be prepared if bringing pets.

If you looking for some place with your better half for couple days, believe me, THIS IS IT! Kelly is very nice person, very easy to communicate with! Plus the place… believe me it’s waaaaay better than on pictures! Very privet away from anything, when you get in you don’t even want to get out anymore! Definitely will be back❤️ Thank You Kelly!!

Great spot for a relaxing weekend getaway. The cabin is cute and very private without feeling like it's totally in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful scenery all around. The hot tub with mountain views is the best part! And nice selection of games in the living room. Katrina sent clear instructions so checkin/arrival was a breeze, and I had no issues that needed addressing during my stay. A few things to be aware of: the beds are quite firm, and the couch is a firm leather couch, different from the one in the photos. The couch is very nice-looking but not the comfiest. Lastly, with fees and everything, this did feel like a splurge at around $330 a night, and we realized we probably could have found something similar at a lower price point. Still, it was a memorable trip and I'd recommend this place!

Great view, cozy spot. Loved Bald Top Brewery and hiking nearby. Perfect place to stay for a wedding we attended at Early Mountain Winery.

This small country cabin was the perfect fit for two people ! We had peaceful breakfasts on the back porch, enjoyed watching the horses come and go, and it was in the middle of all the things we had planned to do. If you want a nice, quiet country stay, this is the place for you !

We stayed just one night and enjoyed sitting on the porch at night and playing with the dogs in the yard. Beds and everything was very comfortable! We really appreciated the snacks and drinks! Overall a wonderful cottage!

Beautiful home and location, would return!

Very much enjoyed a short but sweet stay in this cabin! Appreciated the little touches including both fireplaces being set up for use upon arrival & maps of the area being laid out on the kitchen island. This quiet, pet-friendly Airbnb was a great escape for the weekend. Thank you for having us 🙂

This spot is awesome for 2! Definitely peaceful and as it can get. The river is very accessible, great for fishing!

Every inch of this home is full of care and attention to detail. It has been beautifully built in an incredible location. It feels like a home and not a vacation rental. My son and I loved our time in the cabin and have already been recommending it to friends.

This was the first time using airbnb so I was a little nervous but the trip could not have gone better! If you’re looking for a private, peaceful getaway, could not recommend this place enough! The location was perfect, with plenty on nature based activities to do, and the property was just as described. The host had a printed copy of all rules/expectations and a list and a BUNCH of things to get into in the area, which made everything go so much smoother! Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend!!

I cannot begin to explain how special this cabin by the creek is. We sat out on the back porch and listened to the water and the rain and felt like we were experiencing something truly special. There was plenty of privacy and we took several drives to Harrisonburg, local parks, and unique sights nearby with ease. The cherry on top of our trip was our proposal with the background sounds of the forest and spring. The hosts were responsive, accommodating, and have a lovely property. Our dogs enjoyed walking around the woods and sitting with us on the porch. This was a memorable experience and we hope to be back next year!

David's place is one of the nicest spots we've been to. The log cabin is gorgeous, feels private, and is so well designed and decorated. If we had stayed longer, I would have loved to use the reading nook with the lovely view of the stream at night. The bed, couches, and chairs were all very comfortable and we loved spending the morning relaxing, drinking tea, and listening to the creek from the porch. My husband and I would love to come back for longer and spend more time exploring the outdoor spaces. My husband would have definitely used the grill. We drove through Shenandoah the next day, which was beautiful.

Wow, a unique and charming house, perfect for a family getaway. Our children loved all the activities and hanging out in the family room. Rebecca was a great host and helped us track down a lost item. Very easy to see she loves her guests! 100% would stay here again for extended getaway.

True southern hospitality, a beautiful, walkable property, and a clean, cozy cabin. I am already planning my next trip/stay. It is near lots of great hiking. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, private stay in the woods. Thank you Jen & Kris for being such amazing hosts!
