Family-friendly vacation rentals in Africa

Everything the space was meant for it had. If you like to rent your own vehicle you can, but apon asking every taxi and transport was easy to do. Plenty to do on the island. Some very good restaurants and some of the clearest water I’ve ever seen in an ocean. Hope to be back soon to show my friends/family.

Great value for money, great location quick walk to the main beach and local shops restaurants / shops. Fred probably the friendliest and most responsive host I’ve ever worked with. Jacuzzi is a winner and the unit is spotless. Thanks Fred, we’ll be back for sure!

Die Villa Gecko ist ein kleines Paradies und wir haben dort zwei wunderbar entspannte und erholsame Wochen verbracht. Die Anreise und das Einchecken waren dank der präzisen Informationen der Gastgeber völlig unkompliziert. Alles sieht (mindestens) so schön aus wie auf den Fotos bei Airbnb und wir haben viel Zeit im Garten der Villa, im beheizten Pool und im Whirlpool verbracht. Was uns positiv überrascht hat war die absolute Ruhe in der Villa, obwohl sie mitten in einer Siedlung liegt und die, für unseren Geschmack, sehr bequemen Matratzen der Betten. Es war ein Traumurlaub und wir kommen gerne wieder!

An absolutely wonderful experience. Two of us stayed for a month while working at a hospital locally, and it was perfect. Even before we arrived Nikki gave lots of useful information about local weather and things to do. Nikki and Tom were so kind and helpful, meeting us when we arrived and making sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. They were responsive throughout our stay and really made us feel at home, as well as giving lots of great recommendations of things to do and places to go. The house and pool are well kept and feel very safe and private as it’s back away from the main street. Overall would highly recommend.

What a wonderful time we had in Alex’s beautiful Higgovale House with its special atmosphere. A home from home we felt immediately at ease. The tropical gardens give the feeling of being in the midst of the jungle - despite being only minutes from the lively Kloof Street with its many restaurants and coffee shops (wine bar/coffee shop/deli Tamboerswinkel deserves a special mention). We felt very safe at night and enjoyed being able to access Cape Town‘s sights quickly. A highlight was our hike to Lions Head - again only a stone throw away from the house. Alex’s great communication throughout our stay was not surprising, given his friendly welcome and advice and whilst we didn’t stay long enough to get to know her, housekeeper Barbara also seemed very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

A beautifully peaceful spot to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks on the farm, and stargazing from the hot tub. The accommodation was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathroom was neat with a large shower.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Angelo, le logement était très propre et il y avait tout le nécessaire. Angelo nous avait transmis toutes les information nécessaire à notre arrivée et est resté disponible tout au long de notre séjour. Il est facilement accessible mais il est préférable d'avoir un véhicule. La plage se situe a 3 min à pied ainsi que des restaurants et petits supermarchés. Nous recommandons ce logement, Merci Angelo!

We loved our stay here for our honeymoon! It was private and such a cute place! It had a great view of two blue domes, which I loved. We loved being able to sit in the jacuzzi and look out across the water and see the surrounding islands. They were so helpful with setting up transfers, excursions and recommendations for places to eat/shop. Made our trip to Santorini that much better. Definitely recommend staying here!

Very friendly host, willing to accommodate our every need, allowed a late checkout and accommodated our pets. We made use of the cleaning service - a wonderful willing and friendly lady. The host suggested restaurants, were often available for a quick chat and we felt right at home. Can recommend. It is a quirky place with lots of interesting items being repurposed as planters or decor. Not boring!

A stunning home with beautiful finishes; spacious enough to accomodate our party of 8. It has everything you need and such special care has been taken with special touches in the bathroom and kitchen. The large backyard also provided hours of fun for a game of boulle! Walking distance to the market and excellent coffee shops. Only thing to note is that the pool water is icey cold, given that no sunlight gets to it. But that aside, we will still no doubt book to stay again.

An absolute paradise! Great for all ages, we had from a toddler for the day to 85 year old mama, who all felt at home and had a wonderful time. We lived on the back porch, soaking in the sun and breeze and catching up with each other after 2 years apart. Would absolutely stay again!

I rented the house for my wife, two kids and some friends. We had a very great stay and a good time at the house. Everything was as expected and described by the owners. We had a very good communication with them before and during our stay. They are so lovely and helpful. Restaurants are close, also grocery store and a mall. The beach is just 7 minutes away by car and around 20-35min to downtown depending on traffic. Also once a week the house is cleaned with no extra charge. All together 5 Stars from us! Thank you very much.

Lovely and peaceful with interior space even better than in the photographs. The unit had everything we needed and communication was clear an quick. Good location close to town but away from the crowds. As is clear from the pictures these unites are side-by-side, but they are still very private. (I guess you could have bad luck and a noisy neighbour.) Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful spot right on the beach. The view is spectacular. The house has everything your heart desires. We really enjoyed our stay there. Five stars and more. Safe and well worth it. Dominique was a great host. We will definitely be back!

100% as advertised. Extremely high value for money, and super conveniently located. If you’re looking for a Parternoster stay that’s comfortable and doesn’t obliterate your pockets, cannot recommend Camilla and her home enough.

Augustino was very helpful and responsive. The house was perfect for two families. We had more than enough space and all that we needed. Shopping and restaurants were all within walking distance. It was also the perfect location for driving to other parts of the island.

Hemos pasado unos días espectaculares,la casa es exactamente como en las fotos,íbamos con dos perritas y han disfrutado muchísimo x el jardín tan grande y lo mejor de todo completamente vallado,la atención del anfitrión inmejorable...la casa está en una zona muy tranquila pero muy cerca de todo,en diez minutos estás en la playa y los comercios,y el pinar q hay al lado es perfecto para poder pasear.... volveremos pronto....

This was our second time staying at Villa Lana! We absolutely loved our stay again. Being here for the second time allowed us to appreciate the location even more. Villa Lana is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The neighbourhood is respectful of noise. The house is fully equipped with everything and more for your stay. What an amazing property! Super big with amazing bedrooms, communal spaces and pool area as well as many balconies! The location is amazing - just a short walk to Nadur centre (which has lots of shops and restaurants and is beautiful) and also opposite a bus stop to the beach - we also walked. The home was so clean and the hosts were attentive and welcoming. I’d reccomend to anyone and we already plan to come back! Thanks for an amazing stay :)

Great house for a family get together. Large patio with outdoor bbq/braai. Lovely pool. Lots of space to spread out.

We stayed at this villa for a company team-building trip and had a great experience. The villa is spacious and well set up, with everything we needed to live and work comfortably. There were large common areas where we could eat and work together without any issues. During our free time, we really enjoyed the pool and the games room — perfect for relaxing and having some fun. A big thanks to Andrew, who was always available when we needed help and responded quickly and kindly. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Casa Amaryllis. The property was perfect for our group, providing spacious surroundings and all facilities that we were hoping for in a very pleasant location. We really enjoyed our stay here, car was a bonus. Staff at the apartment and breakfast were great. Owners always on hand to help. Our flight wasn’t till 2200 hours so they have let us stay in the apartment all day which with 3 kids is a life saver. Would recommend
