Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Africa

An oasis away from the busy centre of Marrakech. The views were amazing from the gardens and pool, we loved sitting out there in the evenings. A local lady cooked for us and it was lovely, I’d recommend booking it. It was about 30/40 mins from the centre however, we didn’t have a car and were out in touch with a local taxi driver who was reliable and had a good rate. My young daughter loved the goats at the end of the garden and the tortoises roaming around. The village was peaceful and locals friendly. The local shop doesn’t sell much so I’d recommend stopping at the supermarket in the city before arriving.

Not sure where to start but Let me summarize that I have stayed at AirBnb’s around the globe and this was the best one to date! For more details: the host Hannah was super responsive, and proactive. Abdel was always available to answer questions, solve and fix anything we needed. Rachida’s breakfast was perfect. We also ordered dinner one night that Rachida cooked for us. The lamb tagine was the best we had in all of Marrakesh- this is a must try if you like your tagine to be balanced in sweet and savory. All in all a highly customer focused staff at our disposal throughout. We are a family of 4, including kids. Our boys had a wonderful time at the Riad and we all loved the incorporation of indoor/outdoor space, just like the pics. The location was fantastic - walkable and hip. Like many Riads around, this is not close to a drivable street, but Abdel was with us to show us in and out and also arranged for a cart to get our luggage to the car. A five star accommodation!

A true definition of Home Away from Home, with perfect views. The perfect beach house experience. David was very helpful and was very patient with us. We didn’t even want to check-out 😊 Thank you, Gareth and your team, for making us to feel at home.

Everything about the riad was as described and lovely. It’s a short walk to the markets and shops. We had breakfast and dinner made by Mariam a few times and she was an absolute gem! The AC Works great and while there was 3 of us there, we never ran out of hot water. The bedrooms are a great size, especially the 2 on the second floor with a lot of room to spread out. The host arranged for us to be picked up from the airport and brought to the riad, which was so helpful. I think we would have gotten lost without that! He also arranged a car for us to get to the airport very early in the morning- again, VERY helpful. Colle was very responsive and even shared a list of recommendations upon check in.

A little treasure in Ouarzazate! We loved Marie’s place. It is enormous, bright and airy. Located very centrally but so peaceful and calm. Aziza the housekeeper makes a stunning breakfast every morning and keeps the place spotless. She is super friendly and accommodating. Marie is fantastic at responding and wants to make your stay the best it can be, she is very hospitable.

Great stay in this beautiful Riad located in a perfect spot to enjoy Marrakech while being a little away from the hustle and bustle. The decoration is really neat, with great taste - exactly what we like: warm, mixing authenticity and modernity, full of charm. The Riad is really suitable for a group of 8 people: each room is comfortable, the common areas are spacious and everything is designed for conviviality and comfort. The very nice little extra: the pool. A big thank you to Hamid (manager) for his very friendly welcome and availability throughout our stay. And what about Samira (cook)? Lovely and excellent breakfasts. Not to mention Estèle for her clear, fast communication with attentive and personalized service. We felt right at home. I would recommend it in a second and would definitely stay there!

Nicolas’ house is lovely and we felt right at home. We especially enjoyed the spaces outside and the easy access to the beach. Nicolas responded to all hour questions attentively and promptly It’s great place for peace and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for.

Heino and Christo's place was a little oasis during our first time in Cape Town. The apartment was safe and secure and had all of the amenities one needed with a supermarket, cafe's and restaurants within walking distance. The hosts were responsive to any requests or needs that we had during our stay and even assisted us with finding other accommodation when our flights were changed, and they had another booking.

Great balcony to watch the comings and goings of the train station. Comfortable bed!

Words cannot describe how beautiful this place was.. the best Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Waking up to sunrise over the ocean - sublime. The most hidden gem I’ve been to. I hope to come back one day. Perfection 💙💙

Great stay, if you’re planning on doing any wine tram or tastings it’s a great place to stay.

One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at and amazing value! The apartment had all amenities needed, was spotless and the beds were comfy. The view was out of this world; the best view of the pyramids just from the balcony. Easily accessible and close to the pyramids, sphinx and museum. Close to a carrefour. Eisa is very responsive and willing to help if needed. Would definitely recommend the Airbnb.

We had a wonderful time here. We only stayed there for 3 days, but we didn't want to leave. The decoration of the house and the exteriors is beautiful and very neat, and the small pool is amazing! We were completely charmed by this little house, and very touched by the little touches upon arrival. We can only recommend this place!

Great location, very short walk to the port, beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The host was extremely responsive and always willing to help make our stay comfortable! Apartment was very clean and the jacuzzi is a great feature. Multiple cafe’s/bars just downstairs with great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be close to the venetian port and all Chania has to offer.

Allen's home on Clifton beach was perfect for our family of 7. Unbelievable views of the beach with amazing windows to view from most every room. I could have stayed there a year. Amos, the in-house keeper, was amazing at the household duties and we enjoyed seeing him around the property. We will be back and we will recommend this amazing place.

This property exceeded all our expectations. It’s a beautiful house with everything that you could need for a stay in Cyprus, air con and pool. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s stunning. Marios and Chris couldn’t do enough, from pre arrival recommendations and thoughts, through to check in, through to check out, everything was perfect. Nothing was too much and Marios checked in to see how he could help. Would I stay here again? 100% Location as well for us was spot on. We always hire a car and we were 20 mins from all of our favourite places. Thank you Marios and Chris for an incredible stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and right at home. The space was open and comfortable, with plenty of room to unwind. Every evening felt like a postcard moment. And the pool? Truly what dreams are made of. We spent hours there soaking it all in. Our hosts were fantastic—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. If you love nature and love design then this is the place for you . There is a sense of calm as soon as you walk through the gate and look through the incredibly well designed space toward the river . There are views everywhere and you immediately feel part of the wonderful natural reserve . The interior is a unique space with everything you need to feel part of a special place . Charlene is a truly responsive host . She is a wealth of knowledge about the animals in the area but more than that is an incredible host . It’s a privilege to stay at her property . Any stay will be truly special and highly highly recommended .

If you don’t book this place every single time you get a chance, you are an idiot! Simone is the most wonderful person you will ever meet! Just make the reservation!!!!! You will leave this place completely a new person!!

We had a great stay at the villa, it looks even better than the photos and is a really nice, quirky space to stay in. The surrounding area is quite remote so a car is needed, however the view is beautiful and we found the area very quiet and peaceful. It was lovely to sit outside to appreciate the view when the weather allowed. It is a little chillier at the location compared to some other areas closer to the coast, due to it being a little higher up. The villa does have a lot of moisture inside as the pool is within the living area, however there are dehumidifiers and when the weather is good, the door can be opened. The addition of the log burner was very cosy in the evening. The host was really accommodating, great communication and very responsive. I would definitely recommend!

Riad Isobel is an exceptional place to stay in Marrakech. Once your enter, you step into a well-designed paradise away from the hustle & bustle of the Red City. The staff is kind and prepare the most delicious tanjine and breakfasts. Their driver is uber reliable and elimantes the stress of negotiating a fare. Amanda and Norma are excellent hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay the best ever. Their design “eye” is elegant yet peaceful, incorporating the beautiful artistic treasuries of Morocco into their decor. And the pool is an cool oasis to soak in after exploring the maze of the Medina. We hope to return here soon!
