Private room with view on hillside

I rented Yinglei’s beautiful suite for my mother-in -law and she asked me to post this review: “I had a great experience staying at Yinglei Zhang’s house. The house was spotless clean, comfortable and beautiful. From the first moment I felt at home. I came for my grandson’s graduation from Middlebury college and I couldn’t think about better location. It took 5 minutes to get there. I had wonderful experience meeting my host. She was friendly, kind and generous. Everything that you could possible want and need were in place. And she was always available. I loved the artistically decorated house warm and cozy, with many windows and fantastic view of the mountains. The atmosphere was relaxing, quiet and I was always looking forward to coming back after a busy day of activities. It was an amazing experience to get to know my host and had a few days in her charming home in the mountains of Vermont. I will always recommend that place to my friends and hope to come back too. Thank you!”

Mad River Inn - Warren/Waitsfield Suite

RichRating, 5 stars16 months ago
We made a last minute decision to ski at Sugarbush and after some searching selected the Mad River Inn for two couples. We selected an option for two rooms. When we arrived Susannah offered an alternative arrangement with two separated rooms each with access to a bathroom at the same rate we booked. This was very thoughtful and appreciated. She recommended options for dinner and showed us around the beautiful and historic Inn giving some history and interesting background. We enjoyed a game of billiards in the game room. In the morning she prepared omelets for breakfast. There was also an impressive selection of teas and coffee. There were many nice touches; comfortable beds, rooms each decorated with beautiful antiques, home baked snacks, cold picture of fruited water and more. We highly recommend this stop, and will come back with a larger group in the future.
A cozy bedroom is showcased with a spacious bed featuring an intricately designed coverlet. Soft lighting is provided by two bedside lamps beside the windows, which overlook serene views. A vintage rug adorns the hardwood floor, and the room is framed with contrasting green walls.

Julia was a wonderful host - she welcomed us and helped us easily access our room. There was a well stocked common area with a small fridge and hot water for tea. Our room was easy to reach and the morning views of the Adirondack Mountains from the room were amazing! It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay and was a wonderful place to fully experience the total solar eclipse on April 08, 2024. Thank you for this memorable experience!

Gorgeous property. Great location. Spectacular vacation house, roomy and spacious, well maintained and perfect for a large family group. The house is surrounded by beautiful trees, set back from the road with a nice, ample front lawn and a secluded back garden You can sit on the front deck and admire the magnificent mountain view, or you can use as a base to explore large areas of Vermont. The location is within easy reach of hiking trails, waterfalls, swimming and river walks. We spent a lovely day in nearby Burlington and relaxed by Lake Champlain. The hosts, Michal and Brian are kind, gracious and responsive and it was a pleasure to deal with them from the beginning of the booking process and during our stay. Our family enjoyed a fabulous week at their lovely property. Lucille and Michael

Carin and Luke’s bed and breakfast is a beautiful getaway. The grounds are gorgeous and so peaceful. Both Carin and Luke were so kind and helpful and breakfast was delicious. They also have a lovely assortment of tea so I spent the rainy evenings I was there sipping on a hot cup of tea on the covered front porch overlooking the gardens and pond. Thank you for such an amazing stay!
