A dream of a Cycladic house overlooking the sea

Welcome to Greece, to my home! It's a family home, typically Cycladic. It belonged to my grandparents and I tried to keep the spirit, while adapting it to the demands of today's life. A village house, accessible by a charming staircase, it is totally protected from road noise. Facing south, (very important, because sheltered from the meltemi, north wind that blows in bursts all summer), it overlooks Klima, a picturesque fishing village (20 min walk and 3 min drive) and the entire inner bay. Very quiet environment of Greeks who live there all year round and who must be respected. Terraces where you can have breakfast and enjoy the fiery sunsets. Inside, a first large common room, kitchen, living room with a small sofa, shower room and toilet, a beautiful bedroom with its "doulapi" (closet) included in the wall. The ceilings have remained traditional, beams and kalami recently whitewashed and whose virtue is to protect from noise and heat, but not from mosquitoes, spiders and insects that can visit us despite the constant care taken to keep the house clean! Despite everything, even if we are very close to the sea, we are also in the Greek countryside, that of olive trees, cypresses, and a typically Cycladic flora; the song of cicadas and crickets, at nightfall. With in the distance, the bells of sheep and the braying of a donkey. This will make your stay exotic and I hope unique!

You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the light, the comfy bed, and the ambiance. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Located in the northeastern part of Milos, in Pollonia which is a small picturesque village, the studio is enjoying a fantastic sea view and it is close by foot to the local tavernas and a sandy beach. Pollonia is 11km from Adamas, the port of Milos. In the village there is , a supermarket, bars, restaurants, a car rental office.

Natalia was a great host. She met us at the unit, walked us through, and provided local recommendations for food and things to do. She also stocked our place with snacks, wine, and coffee which was very nice. The location is beautiful and only steps from a nice swim! You will need a proper car or ATV to access this location because the road is not paved and slightly rough. When we traveled here the temperature ranged from 78 to 85 degrees and without air conditioning it was a bit warm. Overall, we had a great time!

We had the chance to stay for 4 days at Marilena's. What a delightfull stay it was. The house is fully equiped and climatised. If you want to rest on the outside you got plenty of very pleasents areas to take a nape. Marilena and her familly are very kind people, they left us some food and drinks at our arrival, communication was great, we couldnt have hoped for a better tenant. I'll recommend this place for people how wants to see something different than usuals harbors of the island. Just be sure to rent a vehicule in order to get to the house. We'll surely comeback with great pleasure if we got the opportunity to.

My partner and I had such a wonderful week staying at Anna’s. Her place is beautiful and thoughtfully designed with geological elements from the island. She has honored and maintained the original architecture while adding in modern amenities. We loved laying out on the back porch by the mini pool in the afternoons and having breakfast in the private garden. We rented an atv from an agency a block away and used it to explore the beaches, scenic overlooks and fishing villages of the area. We also enjoyed walking around Plaka in the evenings. It’s a truly peaceful setting.

This is a great place for families, but you definitely need a car. The house is lovely- even better than the pictures. It suited our family of five very well. It was nice to have some space and the kids loved the outdoor showers after our days at the beach. Chrissa was lovely at check in and even helped drive us to her house. This is a very quiet location if you are looking for some peace.

It is a whole experience to stay at Monk boathouse! The highlight was being able to listen to the waves at night, very peaceful and calming. The host was very helpful with the check in, and even stocked the fridge and pantry with breakfast items which was a nice touch. The location is private, and a short walk from the parking lot. The walk there is over rocks and a bit slippery so it’s advisable not to bring heavy luggage and be mobile enough to do this. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

The hosts were very friendly, picked us up from the harbor and brought us to the house - it's not necessarily easy to find because of the special location. They explained well what routes to find the house, since some are easier or more challenging to drive As the island itself has many beaches and areas that are difficult to access, we recommend a 4WD, as is the case for the house itself. With a small car, it is not allowed to drive on sandy roads and so limiting the range of movement. The house itself offers everything as advertised. Very suitable for a few days of seclusion and peace, especially if you can handle the summer temperatures well. Great 180 view from the terrace and also a wonderful and very private sunset The hosts also gave a good overview of restaurants, bays and sights at the start. We really enjoyed the time, the silence, the peace and seclusion - as well as the interesting conversations with the hosts - thank you for your hospitality!

We can’t say enough good things about this place and our host family. They anticipated our needs (wine, fruit, homemade cookies, homegrown vegetables) and offered even more. But also gave us our privacy. Loved the breeze and the view from the patio. Loved the cozy beds. We had everything we needed for our stay. An altogether special and comfortable experience. ευχαριστώ!
