Calida's Cozy Cottage

A 5mins drive from town or the lake or a 15mins walk to either. The entire home and garden are yours to enjoy. Redwood Lake house has been established for the McMillan family to have time out from the busy world, a place to loose ourselves for a few days of R & R. We the family wish to share this piece of paradise with its unique setting with the wider world. You could choose to leave social media & the like at home. A Quiet, peaceful hideaway by the Waikato river

Fully self-contained 2 bedroom unit complete with wood burner (Wood Burner available from May to September only) or electric heater for those brisk Taupo winters. Peaceful sheltered surroundings, relaxing environment, all you need for a great getaway. There are views of the Waikato River from the bedroom window and walking/bike tracks nearby that lead to Spa Park where the adventure begins. We invite you to stay in our spacious four-bedroom home, on a sunny and private one acre section, with great outdoor entertaining and barbecue areas just a ten minute drive from Taupo. Bedrooms 1-3 each have queen size-beds, while bedroom 4 has a king-size bed and king single with a single trundler bed beneath. A roll-away bed and port-a-cot (crib) are available on request. Free WIFI and Sky sports channels, and an excellent sound bar for music which can be connected to via Bluetooth.

The lake and hot water beach are just a 10-minute walk away, offering endless exploration opportunities.
