Family-friendly vacation rentals in A Ver-o-Mar

Apartment, very spacious and well-equipped it is located at the foot of the dune in a quiet environment nothing is missing thank you for this beautiful collection of records! we enjoyed many hours of listening! one downside: the pillows should be changed, really, and a mattress pad on the mattress would be a plus for hygiene... I recommend this rental without hesitation!

A truly memorable stay. The landscape was breathtaking — wildflowers, birdsong, horses, and morning mist over the valley created a dreamlike atmosphere. The spa facilities and infinity pool, set against stunning views, were especially restorative. The cabin is compact but surrounded by natural beauty. We loved waking to the sounds of birds and nearby waterfall — simply idyllic. There was occasional noise from grounds maintenance, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall impression. The host was communicative and flexible with our arrival time. Thoughtful touches like the welcome wine and chocolate cake made us feel right at home. Everything was smooth and easy, and we found some fantastic local restaurants. The surrounding area is full of charm, with quiet walks, friendly people, and views we’ll never forget. We spent our days exploring and simply soaking it all in. This place made us fall in love with Portugal — we’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you!

Spacious, comfortable house with nice outdoor space, very nice shaded terrace. Good location for visiting Porto and the Douro Valley. "Méandro" restaurant next door, cheap, excellent with stunning views of the Douro. Graça and her husband are welcoming and responsive. Only downside, the presence of dogs barking++ ( kennel?). Graça has nothing to do with it, but noise pollution to report.

Much more than a very nice accommodation, Sonia gives all the tips and good addresses for a wonderful stay. It has everything you need, including a washing machine, dishwasher. Great!! Recommended.

David was very welcoming and helpful! Very clean place that has everything you need. It was super comfortable and we had a lot of space.

We had a great extended stay at Joaquim's aparment. It is well-furnished and comfortable, and in a great location. There is a quiet green space, well-kept, across the street, leading to a major mall and soccer stadium. Worked well for us! Thanks Joaquim!

We had a wonderful stay at the Manor House in Porto! The highlight was definitely the terrace — we spent every evening out there enjoying the stunning views across the river. It was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the city. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a scenic and peaceful stay in Porto.

Just got back from staying 4 days in this wonderful apartment. Everything was as describe. Close to all the amenities that Porto has to offer. I would 100% recommend this apartment to anyone thinking of a trip to Porto.

Amazing location, lots of space, bathroom for each room. Check in is fully remote. We arrived a few minutes early so needed to coordinate with the support through WApp to get in a few minutes before our check in time. Theoretically fully keyless, but they recommended keeping keys because the outer door can be deadbolted by other residents (though we didn’t run into this). Two sets of keys.

Luis’ place was excellent! There is a little park area with many great restaurants just around the corner. Luis offered many helpful recommendations. The place was spotless and had a great little balcony to sit out on. It’s close to most tourists spots if you are a walker. There are 2 flights of steps, in case that is an issue for you. This Airbnb is in a good location for accessing all that Porto has to offer, on foot. It was nice to have two floors and not be in an apartment as most other airbnbs seem to be. It was very clean and well considered with touches such as an iron, hairdryer, kettle etc. The Airbnb was quiet from external noises such as the street etc and very peaceful in this respect. I do however have to say that the above apartment can be heard quite loudly moving about which did disrupt our sleep as it was usually later at night but they were just moving about, couldn’t hear music or tv late and noise from footsteps would stop around 1130/midnight. Overall I would stay again as it was a lovely airbnb. Nice for relaxing, always warm showers, two toilets, tv and sofa if needed. All good. Thank you.

Very nice apartment, good location, everything is done on foot. Hugo responds quickly to our requests and is generous in his advice and recommendations. Communication was impeccable as soon as we arrived. Secure parking directly in front of the apartment. In short, an unforgettable stay in Porto.

I would recommend anyone to chose this apartment: it's in the center of the city, extremely well equipped and very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tue’s house. It is a great size with good bedrooms and plenty of living space. Ideal for our family of 7. The house is well equipped with plenty to do - swimming pool, bikes, pool table, large garden etc. The local area is very quiet with a good beach and some nice local walks. The weather wasn’t great while we were there, which was unfortunate and meant we couldn’t make full use of the pool etc. but it was great on the sunny days. It could perhaps be improved with some soft covers for the sun beds and maybe another sun umbrella. All in all though we had a great stay.

Stayed here for a week with my family, including my brother and his children and my mother and father, and we absolutely loved it! The space was perfect for us to hang out as a family, enjoy the sunshine and play in the pool. We were able to use a high cars to get easily down to the coast and to local supermarkets to pick up provisions but most of the days we just spent relaxing in the house which has lots of space and lots of amenities. There was lots of space for the children to play both inside and outside, lots of places to sit and eat and the pool was excellent. The animals at the bottom of the garden were very entertaining for the children and they managed to name all of them!! I would highly recommend this space. I would happily come again. We also really enjoyed having Duarte come over and cook us a typical regional meal. Thank you for everything Jorgina. Danny, Becci and Eden

Amazing house! Perfectly equipped and great outdoor space with breathtaking view on the river

We had our first family trip to Portugal and chose to stay at Gallo’s House and we couldn’t have made a better choice. Toni, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and met us outside upon arrival. He showed us around the property and explained everything thoroughly, which was such a lovely start to our stay. The house had everything we needed: a fully equipped kitchen, fresh towels, and all the essentials. The pool was beautiful and available to use whenever we liked, a perfect way to relax during our trip. The area is peaceful and quiet, ideal for unwinding, yet it’s conveniently close to Porto, which made exploring the city really easy. Toni also gave us lots of great recommendations on where to eat and what to do in the area. Toni and Cristina truly know how to take care of their guests. Their hospitality made us feel right at home, and the place itself is simply amazing. I hope to return one day and stay there again. Highly recommended!

We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

exceptional host, I've never had a host like that. Extremely kind, helpful and responsive, Rui is extremely professional and that's how to welcome. Rui was present upon our arrival to give us the keys. He generously offered us breakfast and then advised us on many activities and restaurants nearby. On the accommodation, Extremely well located and very quiet residence, it has everything I look for in an Airbnb. The apartment was left to us in impeccable condition. Thank you Rui

The accommodation was very spacious and there was ample space to unfold. The ambience is rather functional and not particularly homely but we lacked nothing. You are privately accommodated there, but also anonymous. You won't be making contacts there. The kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine washes well. The wifi router is located in the property and the internet is fast. I particularly liked the large sliding wall with which you can protect the living area from the sun. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable, with the gastronomy in the area offering little change. Shopping facilities are a 15-20 min walk. After all, you have a vacation and plenty of time. We felt comfortable and the place was absolutely worth its money. Thank you

We were very well received by Fred. Super nice location, nice quiet place where you can sunbathe and splash in the pool in good weather. While you can be anywhere with an Uber in 10 minutes and for a few cents. The rooms have all the comforts. Highly recommended! We loved our stay.
