Family-friendly vacation rentals in Zella-Mehlis

Our accommodation was very comfortable and the location was great for visiting many interesting places. We enjoyed the garden and trees and the rural setting. Apolda itself was an unexpected bonus, as was our very friendly hostess Erika.

We stayed in the apartment for a short stay and found it very nice. The area is of course great, the apartment is equipped with everything you might need and Claudia welcomed us very nicely and showed us everything. We were definitely not here for the last time and can highly recommend staying here. The apartment is very well maintained and nothing was missing. The bed was comfortable and the outdoor area is very nicely designed for cozy hours or evenings outside. Just great. Next time we will also be a guest here with our slightly older dog. Both the area and the space are really ideal if you want to travel with your four-legged friend.

We had a lovely and relaxing holiday in the apartment of Olaf and Nicole. Both welcomed us very warmly. The apartment is quiet and close to different excursion destinations. If you like hiking, this is the place to be, because the forest begins almost on the doorstep and thus also several hiking trails. The apartment is lovingly furnished, has a great garden and has everything you need. There were two of us traveling with a dog and would come back any time.

Katja's apartment absolutely met my expectations. During our weekend, we found it to be an oasis of tranquility where you could completely leave the outside world behind. The spacious living area invites you to cook and play together and the sleeping options were comfortable and cozy. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, which we were allowed to use in January at an outside temperature of 0°C. A hike on the Ettersberg rounded off our weekend and many Weimar restaurants deliver their food to Gaberndorf. A great, modern apartment with friendly hosts that we will definitely book again! :)

A wonderful place to stay, definitely recommended for longer stays. As a family with a 6-year-old child, we didn't miss anything. Many details lend the basement living room its individual charm. You can explore Weimar's old town on foot and there are plenty of activities to do. Thank you for the stay!

It was very cozy and we felt right at home. Enough space to sleep, but also to sit and spend time together. Communication with Alicia was straightforward, very friendly and accommodating. We felt completely comfortable and would recommend the lovingly designed accommodation at any time.

We were looking for something special for our vacation and that is exactly what we found in the Falkennest. A cozy accommodation which is mainly heated with a small fireplace. In addition, a nice quiet area, just great for relaxing. We'd love to go back again.

The contact with the hostess was extremely friendly, on site Petra was very accommodating and flexible. The small apartment was prepared and refurbished with great care. A parking space for guests is available right outside the property. By the way, the duvets were great, at least we liked them and we slept well in them. It was just the thing for our short stay.

We felt very comfortable. Malcolm is very helpful and always available if there is an issue. The location of the apartment is great. We were able to walk to everything. Whether hiking in nature or downtown to the sights. The car could be stopped. Shopping right outside the door. The “Süße Ecke” that Malcolm recommended to us is mega delicious. Sabine made our Christmas in Germany unforgettable. From the start, she welcomed us with warmth, kindness, and incredible attention to detail. She thoughtfully assigned rooms for our large group and arranged the furniture to ensure everyone felt comfortable and at home. Even though we arrived early, Sabine greeted us with her son, giving us a warm, heartfelt welcome. She provided a detailed tour of the house, patiently explaining everything and answering our questions. To make our holiday special, Sabine decorated every room with glowing Christmas decorations and left thoughtful treats—candy, beer, and wine. Her generosity brought tears to my eyes, and we began our trip with laughter, hugs, and a deep sense of care. Meeting Sabine and her son was the highlight of our trip. We’re so grateful for her thoughtfulness, warmth, and the love she put into making our holiday so memorable.

We loved our stay at Kathi’s beautiful home. There’s everything you need there and we were grateful for the extra consumables and special holiday touches. We were able to bring our extended family together from around the globe and we felt right at home for the holidays. We loved the walking trails and being surrounded by nature. It’s relaxing to spend time in the garden, even in the winter, and the stars at night are amazing. Nearest grocery shopping is 8 minutes away and the neighboring villages are picturesque. Kathi was also flexible, which was greatly appreciated! We’d love to return.

My grandparents enjoyed their stay here very much! They felt comfortable from the start as the place was clean, cozy and exactly as described. Christine was extremely friendly and helpful, and check-in went smoothly. The location was perfect for them. They still rave about the beautiful days there and were completely satisfied. Linda is a great host. Our team stayed over 2 months in her lovely home. She is very polite and hospitality person. We highly recommend her place.

Constanze and André are super nice and very communicative hosts. They had many tips for us and were always accessible for questions. We (a family of 4 with young children) felt very comfortable in the house and garden, with barbecue, fireplace, pool, playground, trampoline, bicycles and the hangover. The location was optimal for us: With the bikes we were in the old town of Weimar in 10 minutes, on the other hand you could also walk directly over the field to the Ilm or ride a bike on the Ilm bike path. A supermarket with a bakery is within walking distance. We will be happy to come back!
