Vacation rentals in Zastron

This is the perfect midway stop over for a family or group (including dog) travelling between Joburg and the Eastern Cape. Celeste has gone out of her way to make the place quirky and memorable while at same time ensuring your comfort and safe surroundings. The stoep is a perfect place for an evening braai and to relax after a long drive. The huge interior has many interesting objects from past days while the 4 private bedrooms (2 en-suite) are large and comfortable. The road infrastructure along this route is in excellent condition for travel and passes through magnificent scenic locations. The historic town of Aliwal North with its rejuvenated hot spring spa is a 20 minute drive away. A must visit for the adventurous traveler!

From the moment we got there we felt at home. Leaving behind all the stresses of Johannesburg, this place is a sanctuary. Enjoyed the hot tub, the comfy bed, and seeing all the beautiful stars! Will definitely be returning again. Thank you for the lovely stay Felicia and Jan ❤️

Cameron, Chris and Karen were amazing hosts - very friendly, hospitable, warm and welcoming! The Bobotie we had which was made by Chris and the Brownsies for dessert made by Cameron was delicious. Overall, the accommodation was everything you needed for a stop over, highly recommend. 😃

We stayed two nights at Reedsdell Country Guest Farm, but we could have stayed longer. Katherine's cottage on the working farm is comfortable for a peaceful stay. There were nice details such as a couple of delicious slices of cake in the fridge, as well as a prepared braai pit. The cottage is completely equipped for making yourself at home. The surroundings are beautiful, and we enjoyed our evening walks in the countryside. Katherine and Chris are gracious hosts, and it was nice to get to know them a little bit. This is a perfect getaway for rest and relaxation. Highly recommended!

The scenery was incredible! We loved being right in the mountains - the hike to the cave was so beautiful and the kids enjoyed exploring the farm, milking cows and seeing the horses and sheep. We enjoyed having farm fresh milk daily ;) The house met our expectations and has everything you need for a relaxed stay. Justina was extremely helpful and friendly!

Don was very helpful and communicative when we got stuck on the way with a flat tyre. The next day he called in someone to help us change the tyre. his place was very clean and the furniture was of high quality. Recommended.

Lovely clean cottage with beautiful surroundings. Kathy provided us with a guide to walk up the mountain to a beautiful view overlooking the valley. Felt very safe.

What a fabulous find! Breaks the long drive, from Joburg to Kenton, and is conveniently located. Had everything, and more, that is needed for a short stay.
