LIFE RHYTHM simple life close to nature!

In the cottage, you live a basic life, close to nature in a beautiful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly planted food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, chickens, walking duck, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

De Roode Stee Grolloo (private entrance)

Our B&B offers you a spacious apartment (45m2), lockable, on the 1st floor with private entrance. This makes contactless stays possible. Kitchen with 2-burner stove, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and kettle. Through the landing, you enter your own bathroom with sinks, shower and toilet. The private entrance is on the ground floor. If you come with 3 or 4 persons, there is a second living/bedroom in the apartment available (25 m2 extra) Pets are allowed only after consultation.

Berend Bedje in Zuidlaren

Berend Bedje is a cozy, detached B&B in Zuidlaren, a great place to relax and unwind – after a walk, bike ride, a relaxing weekend, a visit or even a week. The cottage (34 m²) is attractively furnished and suitable for 2–4 people (sofa bed). The cottage has an outdoor seating area at the front. Walk onto the Pieterpad in 9 minutes or explore De Drentsche Aa National Park. The city center of Groningen can be reached in 19 minutes. Breakfast can be booked for €17.50 p.p. Welcome!

You may use our large nature garden behind the house. It's lovely to sit by the pond with the storks in the background.

The vacation home consists of two comfortable apartments, which are ideal for a relaxing stay with lots of privacy and modern comforts. Explore the area by bike or on foot. It is an ideal base for nature lovers. The vacation home is also centrally located between Assen and Groningen, both cities are easily accessible by bus or private transportation.

Welcome to Donderen, a lovely village located in the head of Drenthe. Near the cities of Groningen and Assen (both about 15 to 20 minutes drive), Eelde airport (about 10 minutes drive), the cozy villages of Norg and Zuidlaren, National Park Drentse AA and nature reserve Noordscheveld. Ideal base for cycling and hiking tours. The accommodation is less easily accessible by public transportation.
