The Tiny House in the Rain Forest

A self contained tiny house situated among rainforest of the Yarra ranges. The forest surrounds us by three sides, with one neighbour next door. There are plenty of tracks to go walking. Ideal if your into bird watching, bush walking, or hiking. All our water comes from the little Yarra rivers tributaries so it's clean, untreated and fresh. The house stays very warm in winter with a cozy wood fire and cool in the summer shaded by a large beech tree.

We had a lovely stay at Anna's place - just like the pictures it was cosy in a gorgeous setting. Anna set up the fire for our arrival which was wonderful, was very responsive and provided great recommendations for nearby walks and eateries. It is very close to the main house so doesn't quite feel as secluded when you arrive, but once inside and from the balconies it still felt that we were in our own private retreat.

What a beautiful little slice of the yarra valley. The heating was very efficient, it was icy overnight and we had no idea. We woke to kangaroos outside the window each morning. The caretakers lodge was much closer to the accommodation than I expected, however they were very helpful and friendly and I didn't see them apart from when I checked in. The house is stunning. The view from the huge windows is lovely. It felt very luxurious and was a lovely place to stay after getting married. I would absolutely recommend Kangaroo Manor to others, and I'd love the opportunity to stay there again one day. The hosts were very proactive, kind, and professional, and gave me the impression that I could contact them at any time. Thank you for a very memorable experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at the ‘Chev’, the fireplace truly pulled its weight and kept us warm and cozy. The little kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals, lots of firewood supplied which we were grateful for, and super cute location with lots of ducks!! We even braved walking down to the main road to catch the bus on an adventure to the pub, as well as driving to some local walks, natural sights, cafes, restaurants and op shops :))

Lovely two night stay at Mountain Tiny! Such a cool little spot, we didn’t have great weather but were still able to feed the birds and enjoy the complete serenity, the pitter patter of rain actually made it more relaxing. The fire was unreal - very very warm! Kitchen has everything you need, we cooked dinner every night with no dramas. Would definitely stay again!

A beautiful home in a beautiful part of the country. Everything was so clean and cosy. My children especially loved the toy selection, spa bath and special treats. We had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay. Definately want to come back again one day.
