From the moment we stepped over the threshold, we felt happy. Erynn's friends were playing music! Her books were so eclectic and wonderful that I wish we were snowbound and did not have to continue our journey. Everything worked beautifully, of course. But our delight goes far beyond any standard list. I'll name two: lovely antique salt and pepper shaker on the silver tray. She made scones ahead, froze them, then they were baked fresh for our morning. The willow limbs danced in the wind and rain but we were cozy and peaceful and buoyed in Erynn's

We had such an amazing time! The cabin is spacious and well-equipped kitchen, breathtaking mountain view’s, a great porch for relaxing. There are a few hiking trail’s within a mile from the cabin that we enjoyed. Bobby, is super communicative, helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend Bobby’s place. Thank you Bobby!!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The property is so clean and fully stocked with everything. Decor is so cute. We used fire pit with wood supplied by the owners. The owner was very responsive and available anytime needed. This property is very close to my husbands childhood home so that made it that much better. We will definitely stay again.

Trinkle Mansion and Patti exceeded all my expectations. I had to change the date of my stay twice, and she kept my account current and made sure that I had the receipts. Good business lady. She also refunded my over-payment blunder in cash, upon arrival. Can't beat that. The Mansion lives up to it's name. Perfection in every detail. Lovely art, grand furnishings as well as beautifully detailed original pieces that Patti designed herself. Check out the round-backed steer-hide chair. The breakfast service was beautifully done by Phoebe, a 12 year employee and lovely person. Remember to ask she and Patti about how they clean those magnificent chandeliers. They are beyond beautiful. My room was very comfortable. It was nice to find a higher quality bed while traveling than you have at home. The bath was ultra clean and had 5 shower heads. Who knew that you could have more than one? I almost missed breakfast. Highly recommended. Right on Interstate 81. Lovely accomodations. K

The drive to the home from the Interstate was so beautiful. It was great to slow down and take in the beauty of nature. When I arrived, I saw the beautiful creek on the property, the hens wandering around and the many raised bed gardens. The home was very clean and comfortable. The artwork and decor was created by artists Shaun knew. I had a relaxing cup of homemade tea and enjoyed spending time with Shaun’s 3-year-old son. My room was comfortable and close to the bathroom. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat after a long day’s drive, this is the place to go. Rural Retreat, VA lives up to its name and Shaun is the perfect host.
