We had a super nice time at the place! Everything was very clean and nicely decorated, we felt immediately comfortable. Clear recommendation and we would book again immediately!

Our time in Vera's little loft was rainy but still incredibly relaxing. Vera's warm nature made us feel right at home. The accommodation is super clean and designed with creativity, love and craftsmanship visible in all corners. It is really very cozy and because of the lots of upcycling and the beautiful location exceptional and close to the nature. Despite the rain, we sat in the covered outdoor area for a long time and watched the cats and ducks and listened to the crackling rain. Lake Baldeney is within walking distance through the beautiful forest and restaurants and supermarkets are also nearby. Through Vera's good description and reliable accessibility, you will find the hidden cottage very well. We will be happy to come back ☀️ Best regards from Cristian and Venice

It is a nice apartment with beautiful views. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and the apartment has everything we need for our 3-day stay. Magnus is very helpful and always responds immediately to our questions. I can really recommend the apartment to everyone!

The apartment was really very nice. Super quiet location overlooking the forest, super clean, very well equipped and hassle-free to use. We were there as part of a trade fair in Düsseldorf and were able to reach it quickly and without traffic jams by car - so I can also highly recommend it! The only drawback was the indication of two beds/sleeping places. One of them is a sofa bed, which we preferred to leave. Wasn't a big deal, but good to know for next time. Glad to come back!

We felt very comfortable with Isabell and Britta. The apartment is clean, tastefully and comfortably furnished, has very good facilities, nothing is missing. The quiet location in the countryside allows for rest breaks and yet it is a good base for exploring the Ruhr area by car and bike. It was a pleasure to visit the alpacas every day or to watch them from the skylight - they radiate a holiday feeling with their calm. We also learned a lot of interesting things about these great animals from our hosts and were even allowed to experience the shearing. Thank you for a great holiday.

Very nice appartment with everything needed (very nice grain coffee machine, cooking tools, washing machine, dish machine, and so on...), bigger than it seems on the photos and nicely placed in the city. I wouldn’t recommend it for 3 people because there are no curtains, shutters, or blinds in the living room, so the person sleeping on the couch is going to have a hard time sleeping as soon as the sun goes up and the windows are massive. But really perfect for 2 peoples (or 3 if you have a sleep mask). Little nitpicking: - Adding some labels on the keys would be nice. - And adding some informations paper on what to do with the trash, towels and so on.

Verena and her family were absolutely wonderful! The entire family were kind and welcoming. Communication was superb! The apartment was just right. Very comfortable inside with all and more than what I needed. It was wonderful to sit outside in the morning with my coffee and noodle and relax. I can’t wait to be able to return

Although we had a very short stay with one night, we could not have spent it more relaxed. Check-in through the lockbox was just super relaxed. The apartment was as in the pictures, super clean and tidy. If we are in the area again, we will be happy to come back.

14 days of vacation in a beautiful accommodation. Checking was easy and very simple, parking was not a problem as there were always enough parking spaces on the street. The house is in a very green neighborhood and we were awakened every day with birdsong. The furnishings are completely great, we lacked nothing, we could also use the garden. Anja provided us with a very clean accommodation and made extra space in the garage for our bikes. Anje is also happy to help at any time and gives good tips. We took beautiful bike rides along the Ruhr.

There were two of us in this fantastic penthouse for three days and we were totally thrilled. The apartment is modern, well-equipped and offers real luxury with sauna and jacuzzi. Everything was super clean, quiet and ideal for relaxing. The contact with the host was friendly and straightforward. We will be happy to come back!

Heike and Mike are great hosts. We were received in a very friendly manner and they were there to help us. The accommodation exceeded our expectations.

A very large and super equipped apartment in a good location with two very special highlights: A hot tub - and a private cinema with four comfortable armchairs, Netflix access, large screen and great sound. The location is also great: In a few minutes walk, you can be at the nearest subway station as well as a shopping center, yet very quiet. I was there by bike, and the apartment was the perfect base for trips to the Zollverein mine, the Nordsternpark in Gelsenkirchen and other interesting places. Communication with Lucas was great, fast response times and help with questions/problems at any time. If I'm drawn to the area again, I'd love to stay here as a guest again!

The jungle suite was simply stunning! As soon as you enter the accommodation, you can feel how much attention to detail has flowed into it. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of comfort and nature experience – a real retreat to relax. The highlight was definitely the private hot tub on the patio – surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sound of the jungle. Sitting here, listening to the chirping of the birds and enjoying a glass of wine was simply magical. The bathroom was another highlight: spacious, light and absolutely luxurious. The large bathtub invites you to extensive foam baths, and the rain shower makes for a refreshing spa feeling. Everything was super clean and well equipped – you felt like you were in a boutique hotel in the middle of the wilderness. Conclusion: If you are looking for a unique place to stay with a touch of luxury in the middle of nature, this suite will love this suite. We will definitely be back!

Christoph's service was really wonderful. He was attentive to us at all times and for anything we needed. The apartment is beautiful, everything is very carefully designed and very well thought out for anyone. The house is really cozy, the lighting is very relaxed with those views of the terrace. My mother and I have certainly rested and relaxed as much as we needed. The jacuzzi is amazing. We had a very nice experience. We will definitely repeat

Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The stay at the Urban Retreat was simply awesome! The hot tub is absolutely awesome – perfect for relaxing and chilling after a long day. The surroundings are really cool and the prices are super fair. I highly recommend it! Have fun!

The apartment is very spacious with high ceilings and large windows. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, freshness of the bed linen and the comfortable bed. The blinds in the bedroom were very useful, thanks to them I was able to sleep. Good pressure in the shower also pleased. The kitchen was disappointing. There was no dishwasher, although it was listed in the amenities. We were looking for a place with a fully equipped kitchen so that we could cook during our five-day stay. A kitchen without a dishwasher is a thing of the past, half a day was spent washing dishes - this is not an option for those who intend to cook food themselves. The refrigerator was even more disappointing - it was slightly cooler than the air in the kitchen. No freezer was found at all. To cool the drinks, we turned the regulator to the maximum, then loaded the purchases, and by the evening all the products were frozen. We had to throw out all the greens, vegetables and buy again. At the same time, we had to buy a sharp knife and a grater. If you eat exclusively outside the house, the location is excellent, a bunch of cafes. With parking, you'll be lucky.

We felt very comfortable with Christian and his family. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, we were more than adequately supplied with coffee and if something is missing, Christian is immediately on the spot. The hot tub is a real hit, everything is lovingly decorated and clean. We will definitely be back.
