The award-winning “Salvation Cabin" - we saved it then it saved us - sits in the beautiful Texas Hill County wilderness offering outdoor exploration, hiking and porch relaxing peace time to watch birds and wildlife. A throw back to gentler times, you'll leave here touched by nature's healing power. “Magic!! Delicious Margs and greetings from a lovely host. Rustic, secluded, and surrounded by nature. Woke up one morning to light rain on the tin roof, the next to birds chirping. We enjoyed the out door shower— watching hummingbirds feed in flowers and took nice long bubble baths in the deep tub. Relaxed with local coffee (provided) on the porch swing. The weather was perfect in the mornings and evenings. We enjoyed a cool refreshing dip midday at nearby Jacobs Well. Ventured out to Wemberly for dinner at the Leaning pear per Adena’s recommendation and had lunch at Community pizza. Both were very delicious and had well spaced outdoor seating. We made meals in the kitchen and loved the provided local sausage, eggs, coffee and OJ— a very nice touch!! And the fresh baked bread 🤤 so good!!! While the river bed was dry, we were able to hike through it with our pups and they loved that. We also did some runs up and down Old Baldy a short but steep hike with views for miles. We feel rejuvenated and inspired. Thank you!!!”

“This was a truly unique and wonderful experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Dixie Daisy. It is such a precious and adorable little place. The property is beautiful and the deck and hot tub make it a perfect spot to get away from it all. Jennifer and Gregory are ideal hosts. Lending us our privacy and leaving us delicious, fresh eggs and coffee. The outdoor shower is great. The retro feel of the airstream is nostalgic and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing out on the deck, listening to the amazing collection of cassettes stocked in the trailer. We also loved swinging in the hammock, walking to the tree house and exploring the property. We will definitely be coming back and look forward to roasting marshmallows in the chiminea with our daughter... getting back to nature and escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. ”

“Absolutely beautiful little casita, so beautiful with all the windows and glass doors to enjoy the outdoor view. Really enjoyed the nature and watching the deer and birds in the backyard throughout our stay. The hot tub was enjoyable and relaxing, even though it was still a little warm to use we took advantage. The bed was so comfortable, from the mattress to the soft sheets and fluffy blankets. There were little details all throughout the house such as fresh flowers and robes. There was basic seasonings, butter, dressing etc so it was easy to cook, also loved the grill! One thing that we didn’t expect was the close proximity of the hosts home to the casita. I was aware it was on the property, but it was only about 100 feet from the casita and you saw it looking out the kitchen window. Also, sitting out on the back porch we could hear cars from the street and the neighbors (oddly enough the neighbors were singing so loud, lol). So it wasn’t as isolated as we thought it would be. But nothing that would take away a 5 Star review!”
