Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Wiltshire

We had a wonderful Easter weekend in Salisbury! The home was cozy, beautifully kept, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect—peaceful, yet just a short drive to town centre in salisbury to the cathedral and lovely local spots. Perfect for those who want a country lane and country trail walk to stonehenge! Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure we felt right at home. We’d happily come back again—highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

I had a lovely stay at Frank’s hut in Tilshead. It felt peaceful and private but Frank was a very responsive and helpful host. The hut itself was immaculate and cleverly designed to maximise space, with comforts like a nearby shower and underfloor heating. Added touches like brownies and breakfast tray were great. I fell asleep listening to rain on the roof and woke up to sheep and birdsong - bliss! Would love to return and explore the area more.

We didn't want to return home as we had had the perfect stay. This lovely little shepherd's hut surrounded by beautiful farmlands, was just what we'd hoped for and it didn't disappoint! Our hosts Peter and Rachel, were very responsive to our needs, although, gave us our privacy and let us explore the surrounding areas. The hut had lots of little touches to it that made it feel homely and cute, although, functional and great use of a small space. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the hut had heating, wifi and a range of options on the tv after a tiring day of adventures! Excellent stay, would absolutely return, thank you! Magical place! The setting is so beautiful, the huts wonderfully decorated, and with every thought given to comfort. My kids LOVED the stay, especially the chill out gazebos, and the fairy woods - truly a magical place! Communication was great, and Jenny really is a perfect host. We'll definitely be back!

Already planning our next stay! We found the cabin really easily though it might be tricky if arriving in the dark. Absolutely fantastic location and surroundings. Beautiful views, peaceful, everything you need. It’s glamping so if you’re expecting that then you will be thrilled! Sat outside and had a drink in the sunshine, woke up to a herd of deer crossing the field in the morning. Plenty of great eateries around if you don’t fancy bbqing. The sky at night is absolutely stunning as you would imagine. Had everything we needed and stayed warm and cosy all night thanks to very good quality bedding and the little log burner. Cabin is cosy but we had enough space for our suitcase and the dogs crate too. Really special place and that’s coming from someone who’s not usually a camping/glamping girlie!

Serena, Dave and their family made our stay in the Cotswolds amazing! They were perfect hosts, really making us feel at home and providing amazing recommendations for our time there. The hut was cosy and well worth the visit. You have everything you could need and the added enjoyment of doggos, nature and art. We loved every minute. Exploring the local area as well as staying close by to try the cakes at the tearoom. We enjoyed our little escape to the countryside and cannot wait to visit again.

Had a fantastic one-night stay in the wagon. There are some little quirks with the numerous power switches, heating by wood stove, and the boat toilet, but it all adds to the charm and Amanda does a great job laying out all the details and instructions. We had a fairly cold night but the woodburner had us opening the window :) Great location that's walkable to a small village (Colerne) and an upscale hotel with restaurants if needed. Would highly recommend for a night away from everything.

We had a lovely stay at the Rumple hut. Everything was perfect. Anthony was a great host. We’ll definitely be booking again.

We had the best stay at the Burrow! It was so lovely. Location was amazing. Nice to get off the grid for the night and relax. The Burrow had everything you needed and Rob and Jess were great at communication. The golf buggy was also an amazing addition! Had a great night

We had a lovely stay here. The hut was so adorable! First thing we did upon arrival was petting the two sheep that were nearby. When checking in we got recommendations for the area nearby. From here we discovered a lot of different places in the Cotswolds - it was a good starting point. We are looking forward to come back someday. Thanks for having us :).

We had a fantastic stay, super easy to find, close to supermarkets and a lovely bakery a 10 minute drive away… Beautiful walks, wild swimming spots and incredible sunrises in the hot tub. Loved every second of our stay, great amenities and it was incredibly peaceful. Julie also found my toothbrush and very kindly went to the trouble of posting it back to me!

Had the most wonderful stay at Mark and Carrie’s Shepherd’s Hut for my partner’s birthday - it was so special. The Hut and the surroundings are beautiful - right on the river with lots of wildlife! We had such a lovely meal in the pub (best oyster of my life) and Mark and Carrie made us feel so welcome. Gorgeous breakfast basket in the morning as well. Can’t wait to come back!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Fiona’s Shepherds Hut. It was decorated and finished to a high standard, very comfortable and actually feels bigger inside than expected! The log fire was great (although it gets very hot very quickly, probably our fault and put one too many logs on, we actually had to open a window at one point!). Fiona was very responsive to our questions and queries, including when the solar power went off due to the poor weather. (The farm shop directly over the road also do an incredible breakfast!) Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and is an ideal base for a quiet weekend away. Thank you Fiona!

We had a wonderful time and we couldn’t fault the attention to detail to make the stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. The place is cosy but spacious enough for a small family or group of friends. Cath was a great host and provided clear and timely communication, ensuring a smooth check-in process; she even came to say hello when we arrived. She also left us some provisions and a bottle of fizz in the fridge; the place is beautifully decorated, there are plenty of utensils in the kitchen, condiments, crockery/glassware and bedrooms are cosy, comfy and warm; it is very clean and tidy. It was lovely sitting outside by the log burner in such peaceful surroundings. We'd definitely love to come back and stay longer. x

We had a wonderful time at Emily’s shepherd’s hut. The hut itself was beautiful and had everything we needed, as well as a lovely wood burning stove, a comfy bed and lots of natural light and ambiance. The area around the Airbnb is beautiful and very peaceful. Emily was so responsive and friendly and even picked us up and dropped us off at the station! We will be visiting again very soon 🥰

fantastic stay, Rebecca gave really clear instructions on how to find her, arranged parking permits for our stay and was very responsive to our questions. well stocked kitchen with everything we needed, including milk and crumpets in the fridge, and tea and coffee, both the bed and sofa bed were very comfy and the shower had great water pressure. would definitely recommend staying here and would absolutely stay again when I'm visitng Bath

What a beautiful stay we had at the luxury shepherds hut. Everything was so carefully thought out- from the rose petals on the bed to all the finishes around the hut. The hut was well heated and had everything we needed. Went to a day trip to Frome which we really recommend. Charlotte is a friendly and responsive host.

We absolutely loved our stay in 'Molly', it was so beautiful and peaceful - everything we could have wished for! The place was so clean and tidy and had all the amenties we needed, I just wish we were staying longer! Thank you so much for everything ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at Angela’s. A luxurious and romantic cabin with everything we could’ve needed. ‘Holly’ has a super comfy bed and we loved the wood fired hot tub, log burner and wildlife on the doorstep. Watching the stars at night from the hot tub was magical! We would definitely come again and recommend to our friends. Angela was really helpful and friendly and she has done a fab job with the cabin and fitting everything in to the space in a clever and stylish way. Thank you for an amazing and memorable weekend. Could not recommend this place more ! We had an incredible stay which exceeded our expectations. The hut is privately set with all the amenities; super clean, plenty of crockery and utensils, a lovely welcome hamper with some essentials, great outdoor set up to enjoy a bbq and fire pit. Dilly was a perfect host and was attentive to our queries. Looking forward to returning one day.

Great communication with Sharon from my first enquiry.. the grounds where the Shepherds hut is located are stunning with wild life on your door step… The hut is beautifully equipped and presented and can not be faulted! We would stay again for sure.
