Cozy, refined, pure and simple, using beautiful materials and a neat, well-groomed finish. What could be more wonderful than being awakened in the morning by the birds and experiencing the light, tranquility and space in and around this cottage all day long? In short, a real vacation! From the cottage, beautiful walks and bike rides can be taken.

Je kan heerlijk ontspannen in de wellness tuin met houtgestookte hottub, ton sauna met uitzicht over de Utrechtse Heuvelrug, lounge eiland en een veranda met sfeerverlichting. Omringd door al het moois wat de natuur te bieden heeft gelegen in een prachtige omgeving. Je kunt hier heerlijk wandelen, fietsen of kanoën op de wetering.

Unique Stay in the Countryside!

The cottage has a unique atmosphere, created with materials from the old days. It is located at the back of our yard, overlooking the meadows, the forest and the dike. In summer, the cows of the adjacent farm graze in the meadow, and the ducks and coots swim in the ditch. You can regularly see a stork or a deer! With the sound of the cuckoo, the lapwing or the owl, you experience nature very close! From the conservatory or from the large garden, you can see the sun rise in the morning.

Quiet suite with private entrance in a green area

Quiet, charming suite with its own entrance in a green outbuilding next to our house. Enjoy privacy with a separate bedroom (including a workstation), a cozy living room, and a private bathroom. Located on the Kromme Rijnpad and a 10-minute bike ride from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Bicycles can be safely stored indoors. Ideal for a relaxing weekend, hiking, biking, or a quiet workation. The suite is accessed via stairs and is therefore less suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Many castles in the region. 2.5 km away from the authentic town of Wijk bij Duurstede, where you have, in addition to the cozy historic city center, numerous attractions, such as Duurstede Castle and the Rhine and Lek grain mill.

De Vlonder is a detached and sustainable accommodation (also a vacation home) on the Kromme Rijn in Cothen, located in the province of Utrecht. The accommodation is situated along the Kromme Rijn hiking trail and can accommodate up to 4 guests. It features two separate bedrooms, 1 and 2, with a private bathroom with toilet. It has a common breakfast/kitchen area where you can stay well. Outside you can relax in the lounge set on the deck on the Kromme Rijn.

The house is located in the beautiful "langbroekerwetering area" a rural area, known for its beautiful countryside and its many castles. Looking outside the livingroom shows a unique view on Sterkenburg castle. The house is surrounded by a big garden. Because of its central position this is a ideal region for day trips.

Jan's renovated cowshed has 3 spacious double rooms. All rooms have a beautiful private bathroom with shower and toilet. The rooms are accessible via a hallway to a cozy, shared living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Coffee and tea are available unlimited. At pleasant temperatures, one can make use of a cozily furnished barn, which serves as an extra seating area.
