Stunning 92 acre property. Fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, birding, campfires all in an atmosphere of the great outdoors. Spacious bedroom overlooks acres of wooded scenery and landscapes of the rolling hills of Western Wisconsin. Owners home is located approx. 200 ft from cabin. A 2.5 car garage separates buildings.
“My husband & I had a fantastic time at the Living Waters Cabin! In lieu of a birthday party, we opted for a rural weekend away from the city, and we definitely got that! We hiked several hours (made it all the way to the bench!), watched the horses, and spent loads of time in the hot tub, both under sun & stars. We also grilled one meal (large gas grill), though it was very windy and we opted not to try to build a fire (above-ground fire pit). The kitchen in the cabin is fully functional, and the two patio/deck areas offer the perfect amount of sunshine or shade to suit anyone! The upper-level deck was great for star gazing also. Melanie & Denny were excellent & attentive hosts!”
Harvest Home Farm is located at the end of a dead end road nestled in a valley, just 4 miles northeast of Whitehall, Wisconsin, in beautiful Trempealeau County. The 160 acre farm has a long term focus on raising grass fed sheep and poultry. We also have a produce garden, a berry patch, and an apple orchard. The farm has 80 acres of mixed hardwoods and softwoods and an abundance of wildlife as well as a network of walking trails.
“From the beginning of our adventure to Whitehall, Mike was on top of the communication. We spent the week of Christmas and even with the hectic time of year Mike was very accommodating for us, making sure someone was there when we got there and keeping the communication line open. We have a family of 5, two adults a 9yo and twin infants. We fit two pack and plays and the rest of the family just fine. The guest house is so warm and inviting with a fireplace stove and ability to control your own temperature. We stayed plenty warm. We had one issue and Mike was on top of it with in minutes of being alerted and it was a super easy fix, breaker flipped. It was nice to be able to have our own space to enjoy some family time alone and make our own meals while we were visiting family in the area. The first morning we woke up to the sheep, llamas and alpacas right out the bedroom window with a gorgeous sunrise back drop. We will definitely be back to spend more time.”
The Haunted Hollow Lodge is a newly built, post and beam, barn with a spacious, quiet, and quaint upstairs loft. This is the place to stay if you are considering a remote, unconnected getaway.
“Haunted Hollow is an absolute treasure. Carol and her husband are caring and hospitable hosts, and their entire property is gorgeous. It exceeded expectations in absolutely every way. We knew Carol was an excellent host from the first message we received from her. She had written directions to the property (it’s a bit off the map), recommendations for places to eat (and not eat), and furnished the fridge with drinks and a breakfast pastry. She even brought us freshly cut watermelon for a snack in the middle of the day, knocking on the door without looking to respect our privacy. We spent nearly an entire day on the property, and wished we had longer to spend. We are already discussing when we can return to Haunted Hollow in the near future.”
