Sue is a kind and generous host. We were a group of six girls and she gave us the best recommendations of things to do- even in a storm! The home was clean and she made sure we had extra towels, bedding, and pillows. She even provided museli, cereal, and milk! I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Whangārei!

Such a beautiful spot. The house was very clean and tidy on arrival. Clean sheets & towels - our large family group immediately felt right at home. There was plenty of space for our group of 12.. we didn’t feel crammed in and everyone had a very comfortable bed. The views were amazing, hosts were easily contacted and we were all very comfortable during our stay. Would highly recommend. The bucket of Easter eggs in the fridge were a lovely surprise too 🥰

We've just had a lovely 3 night stay with our 2 kids and are already talking about possibly coming back next summer! The house is right on the water (but fully fenced which was great with 2 young girls) and had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing few days away from home. We took the kayaks out a couple of times which our girls loved, and made the most of having a spa on site as well! Really comfortable beds and loved that there was a bedroom for each of the girls. Kitchen had everything we needed, even a box of chocolates for us to enjoy during our stay :-) The girls especially loved the kind gift Lyndsay gave them when we arrived! Thanks again for your amazing hospitality and we hope to see you again!

Leanne was a wonderful host; excellent with communication and very helpful. The accomodation has a stunning view and is beautifully kept - comfortable, clean and just right for our stay (a two-nighter). The location was excellent; close to the city which has wonderful restaurants - of note The Quay. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. Highlights for us was listening to Kiwi so close to the accommodation, the outdoor table setting in a sheltered alcove and enjoying the spa with night skies above. The spa was super clean and positioned perfectly to laze back and look up at the night sky - brilliant! The space is very private. Ocean Beach was a short drive away - really nice. Great hosts. Highly recommended.

Shirley is clearly devoted to the well-being of her renters in being kind and caring, and in the way she provides detailed information on everything from finding the place, how to work the various devices (including a very neat electric heating stove), local restaurants, and more. Perfecto!

Vanessa & Paul's place was prefect for out stay. It met all our expectations and many more. So nice and quiet which we like. Kids really made use to the swimming pool and spa. Plus, also the fire pit was a hit doing s'mores and telling stories and if you love cats take a look around the cattery. Thanks so much Vanessa and Paul for allowing us to share a piece of your home. We will of course recommend your place to our friends and when we are back up it looks like it will be our go too place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Vinkal’s place! The accommodation was clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Vinkal was an excellent host, warmly welcoming us and giving us a tour of their beautiful garden, which made the experience even more special. We also made use of the BBQ, with all the necessary equipment already provided. Andrea and Sherman were the perfect super hosts we've come across so far. Their house was absolutely beautiful and all furniture and appliances were top quality. Sherman's hospitality especially was beyond what we have experienced anywhere. From the freshly squeezed orange juice that came at a moments notice, to the little treats that came for our daughter. You have an amazing place among the citrus orchard, which is situated literally 100m from the motorway. We will happily give you a 10 stars if we could. We will see you again and see if you managed to land any kingfish :) Take care and thank you for looking after our family

Lovely stay, highly recommend Lil's place. The location is awesome, so relaxing, comfortable bed, everything you need for a great stay is provided, love there is a full size fridge, BBQ, washing machine and dryer amongst other essentials. Lil is very helpful and there is plenty of information about walks, where to go and what to see. Being able to walk across the road to the water each day was a bonus and the views from the unit are forever changing as the tides come and go and the sun rises and sets. Some days there are cattle next door at the fence. I highly recommend staying and will return in the near future.

The house was perfect for the five of us. It has lots of space, the hosts were very generous with the condiments and the space was light, comfortable and really clean and tidy. The wi fi was also brilliant!. While the house is nice and peaceful it is a short drive to the shops and about 10 minutes from the beach. We didn’t find this a problem and Leone and Mark were awesome to deal with.

We stayed for a long weekend and loved the house and the location. The photos don’t do it justice, it’s even better in person, especially the amazing views! The house was a short walk to the beach and The Cove cafe. It was very clean, tidy and well appointed. The host was very flexible and accommodating which was appreciated. I would highly recommend and would happily stay again.

A nice spacious bach with plenty of room for the kids. It has most of the mod-cons you'd expect, but also retains the "Bach" feeling very well. It's in a great location, with the boat ramp very close by, and beautiful coast/beaches within an easy walk. Harvey was great to deal with, and very responsive.
