Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. West Virginia really is “almost heaven”. The Schoolies are located just a few miles from the New River Gorge National Park. The buses are located conveniently off a well maintained gravel road and face beautiful rolling hills with hay and wildflowers in season. Deer frequent the pastures along with a family of foxes and Phil, the groundhog who has chosen it as his home. There are two schoolies if you have more people and need more space.

Rocky Hollow Paradise Campsite 1 on hill with view

Primitive camp site no 1 on Rocky Hollow Paradise Rd 7/10 of mile off of Jordan Run Rd. Bring your tent and spend time with nature. 4x4 or AWD are recommended but front wheel drive cars can make it up. RD is dirt and a little rough and steep in places. NO Cell Service. Behind a locked gate. Up to 2 Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash when outside of tent. We provide some firewood. We are located 5 miles from entrance to forest rd 75 and 2 1/2 miles to entrance to forest rd 19.

Peaceful getaway for relaxing

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. The camper has a full set of dishes, pots and pans as well as extra pillows, blankets, towels, and washcloths. The stove is a propane stove with 4 burners. Cleaning supplies are also available. When guests check out I go through and clean the entire camper. It has an instant hot water tank and a roof mounted A/C unit and portable electric heaters. Deer 🦌 feed is available for an extra charge of $5 for a gallon sized bag.
