Vacation rentals in West Haven

Ray is an amazing host as is his Airbnb. My friend and I have gone there twice to get away and to write, and it is the perfect location for this. The sound right behind the house is spectacular, as is the beach entry down the street. We took many walks and collected shells and sat outside on the deck to watch the sunsets. The house is not far from New Haven so there were times we would head into town for dinner. Ray is very kind and quickly responded to us when we had questions. The home is beautiful and clean and we hope to go back there again!!

This was my fifth stay in Jeanne's wonderful cottage! The cottage gets better and better each time I visit: a newly renovated bathroom, redecoration in lighter/brighter colors, etc. The home is extremely well stocked - every kitchen item you might need (including loads of glasses/plates/silverware, pots/pans, etc.), thick towels, extra blankets and throws, and lots of cleaning and paper products. There are plenty of cozy places to sit and relax, both indoors and out. The best thing of all is Jeanne herself, who is without a doubt the most generous host I've encountered on AirBnB. She is friendly, communicates proactively, and is quick to respond to any issues/questions. She truly opens her home to her guests, encouraging visitors to use the space fully and to make themselves at home. The cottage is an easy walk to the beach ane/or to town and is lovely, homey, and peaceful. I'll definitely return!

Nice ground floor apartment across the street from the beach and 2 blocks from the state park. Love the outdoors. And Delores and her brother were amazing. Friendly, responsive, and helpful.

Cail's place is very peaceful, situated right on the tidal flat. It's a short walk away to a semi-private beach and the Audubon Society. The house was a cozy home base for our family. It had all the necessary linens and kitchen equipment needed for our stay. The views from the wall of windows in the back provided great light. We appreciated the thoughtful touches of design throughout the house.

House was just as it looked in the pictures - beautifully decorated. Has everything needed for a vacation. Comfortable, bright and cheerful. Back yard was private. House was fully stocked with what was needed along with beach supplies in the outdoor shed. Quick walk to the beach. Would easily rent again!

We stay 4 weeks at Jacqueline place, everything was great, did not have any problem. Place is exactly fit the advertising if not better and everything was clean and working. We find place and the area is so peaceful and quiet. Perfect location for someone just looking for rest in very beautiful neighborhood. Jacqueline was very responsive, easy to communicate, helpful and polite. I would definitely stay again and recommend for anyone needs a place feels like home away home.

We enjoyed our stay! Such easy access to the beach was so convenient. You’re definitely better off venturing out after high tide to enjoy the most amount of beach and there are a lot of shells that make being barefoot challenging. We did arrive after major storms which could have contributed to that. The house was spotless with everything you need to be comfortable! We did not utilize the outdoor space but definitely would have if the weather was drier! Definitely would stay here again.

Rented this for six weeks while working in the area, was perfect. I enjoyed it very much. Lots of space everything you could possibly need even down to the toothpaste and brushes, you could seriously just show up completely unprepared and you would have an excellent stay. If I am back in the area for long term again this will be my first search.

Enjoyed the stay. Gorgeous beach home. Lots of natural light which is great. Accomodated with daily amenities (very useful). Easy check in. Attentive owners. Pleasant location. As frequently as i travel to CT, would stay again. Thank you.
