Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in West Dover

Caitlin and her husband, Peter, are caring, considerate hosts. They made me feel welcome in their beautifully appointed, light-filled home. They were open and friendly, interested in finding out who I was, while being respectful of my privacy. When I explained I didn't like to eat first thing in the morning, they went out of their way to prepare a yummy, healthy "to-go" breakfast I could take with me to the program I was attending. Caitlin even loaned me her favorite travel coffee mug for my tea. I was able to spend my final morning having breakfast with them and they prepared a delightful meal, replete with fresh fruits and flowers from their garden. We sat outside amongst the beautiful plantings and each shared with me a precious piece of their own life story as well as how they met. That's how I discovered what wonderful people they are. I would return there in a heartbeat. Staying at the Sanctuary provided a welcome contrast from the intensity of the program I was attending.

Great spot for our son’s graduation. We had the upstairs which gave us privacy and flexibility in case our other son and a cousin could join us. Cozy, clean and comfortable. Charmaine was a warm and gracious hostess. Good coffee in the morning.

If I could give Patti and Bill more than 5 stars, I would. This bed & breakfast is such a hidden gem. Patti and Bill are so kind, they make you feel just like family. Their baked apples and breakfast are so delicious, I will miss waking up to them. Their home has a way of making you feel like its your own home, and there’s such rich history all around the house. The carriage house was a great stay for a small group of friends who were looking for lodging for our Mt. Snow ski trip. The rooms and beds were so cozy and we had some of the best sleep of our lives! The mountain was a short 20 min drive. The town of Wilmington is so cute and a short drive away as well. Patti recommended some local eats which we appreciated. There’s so much more we want to see and do at this bed and breakfast and will surely return in the Spring or Summer!

The Shearer Hill Farm is not only a cozy and beautiful place to stay at, it also has the best hosts, Patricia and Bill. Their attention to detail, kindness and hospitality made this a fantastic experience. Breakfast here was worthy of a 5 star restaurant, their coffee and jams were sooo good too. Our rooms was beautifully decorated, also super comfy and clean. Thanks for having us so last minute! Hope to be back soon. :)

Kevin went out of his way to cook us a vegan breakfast, the best we've ever had. Kevin is fun to be around, the common room was cozy and soothing, small B&B so met and chatted with people.

Michael was a wonderful host. Was right there when we checked in even though it was late. He was helpful and kind and we felt right at home from the moment we walked in the door. Michael is a fabulous cook and breakfast each day was amazing. He remembered what you liked or your dietary restrictions. I can't say enough good about the place. From the basket of knitting, to the puzzles, reading materials, and games, you felt like you were one of the family just hanging out. Many thanks Michael and Kevin for an awesome stay!! I know we will be back!!

My mom, sister & I stayed at the Ira Allen House for Labor Day weekend, and it was the perfect location for our getaway! It is a beautiful, historic home with so much charm! Our room was clean, comfortable, and the perfect amount of space for us 3 adults. Every breakfast we had was delicious and the best way to start our day. Kevin & Michael were also very accommodating to our various dietary restrictions! The other bed & breakfast guests were all so friendly as well, and we enjoyed engaging in conversation with them over coffee in the dining room where breakfast is served. We loved the beautiful property - sitting on rocking chairs on the front porch and on Adirondack chairs near the Battenkill River were a relaxing post-breakfast activity before exploring nearby Manchester, VT. The Ira Allen House is also a convenient location to get to Saratoga, NY in just about an hour! Can't wait to visit again for hopefully a Fall or Winter or even Spring retreat! Vermont is so beautiful and this stay captured the true Vermont essence!

Kevin and Michael are the perfect hosts. We felt right at home and were well fed on delicious breakfast with local ingredients. Close to the museums we wanted to see and near excellent restaurants in Manchester. As a bonus we got the room with the fireplace and plenty of starter logs.

This was my first Airbnb experience. From the very beginning, John and Kathy were excellent hosts. They come across as just genuine and likeable people - it really feels like you’re staying with friends. Not to mention, they are SO kind in opening up their entire (gorgeous) home and property to you. They make it clear that while you’re there you have free range to explore the grounds or utilize the fun on-site things such as the fire pit and relaxing common areas. The breakfast served each morning was so thoughtful and delicious; my husband and I really felt like we were being spoiled!! Speaking of spoiled, idk how I’ll ever be able to have a better Airbnb experience than John and Kathy provided as they really set the bar high. Looking forward to booking our next visit here for sure.

Don't be decieved upon arrival, the outside needed some up dating and there was no sign but Yohah was on the porch waiting for our arrival and provided us with everything we needed. Great breakfast and we learned alot about the history of the Inn and the town. Would stay again in the future

The inn is in a great location, close to both Stratton and Bromley. Austin was quick to communicate with, check-in was easy, room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast in the morning was great - eggs and bacon, muffins, waffles, etc.

The Wilmington Inn is always a favorite place to stay! It's always quiet and so convenient to restaurants and the shops--we'll be back!

E&E's air bnb is very nice and comfortable and the check in was great and Ernie was very nice. Unfortunately we had a family emergency to deal with, so we couldn't make it back to stay the night and enjoy the hot tub and friendly space at the air bnb, but I highly recommend staying here. 5 stars

My boyfriend and I spent two wonderful nights in Cider House 1. We had a fabulous time. Peaceful and relaxing with beautiful fireplace.

We came to Vermont to look at the beautiful fall colors and for a Vermont experience. Staying in a stately house that originates from the 1700’s gave us both. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The downstairs sitting area is elegant with plenty of room to spread out read like a country squire. Mary makes an excellent breakfast and is accommodating about when and what to eat. Be sure to try the apple pancakes. Manchester with all its fine restaurants is 15 minutes away. Otherwise, the Wayside Country store is right down the road. The view out the back of the house is outstanding. We highly recommend this house for a Vermont getaway.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The inn was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could have needed—and then some. The bed was super comfortable, the view was stunning, and every little detail was clearly thought out with care. The host was incredibly warm, responsive, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make our stay special, offering great local recommendations and making us feel truly at home. We’ve stayed at a number of places, but this one stands out as one of the best. If you’re considering booking—do it! You won’t regret it. We’re already planning our return trip.

What a lovely and beautiful location amongst the woods... perfect living space, a wonderful kitchen with everything we could want or need. Sharon is the consummate host. We absolutely love being there and our 2 dogs do too! We can't wait for our next visit!!

Wendy & Dean were wonderful hosts! We had a really late arrival and we were still greeted with a warm smile. Wendy’s breakfasts were delicious! And she kindly accommodated my dietary restrictions. The bathrooms and rooms were squeaky clean with plush fluffy towels and toiletries provided which was great. Beds were comfy cozy. Common areas were clean and plentiful with refreshments. The whole experience was way more than I expected! The grounds were gorgeous with a nice walk to the river. I felt welcomed, at home and comfortable in their beautiful space. Wendy & Dean were very accommodating and helpful in advising what to do in the local area. We really enjoyed spending time with them. I highly recommend His & Hers Farm and will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at John and Kathy’s farmhouse! Great location for a peaceful retreat and close to several mountains for skiing. John’s breakfast was a fantastic start to each day. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding things to do in the area. We hope to be back again!

This is an idyllic setting for a beautiful home with super friendly and caring hosts. The large house, a retreat center with facilities for large groups, sits on a lake overlooked by a gorgeous modern treehouse. Tom and Ravi are excellent hosts and I enjoyed chatting and eating with them and learning about their vision for the property, communal and artistic, with nourishing food fresh from local farms, and a mix of interesting guests. This is the kind of place where you can truly unwind in natural green, wander the extensive grounds and connect socially if that suits you. The beds are comfortable, each room with its own bathroom, and the living rooms are spacious and with walls of books and artwork. Cannot recommend this place more highly. If you’re lucky enough to find availability, don’t hesitate!

This was our second stay and it was just as amazing as we remembered it. We love staying in the Cold River Room, we were so excited it was available for this trip too. It is perfect for a couple having a cozy trip. We also love the homemade breakfast that Wendy makes. This is a beautiful bed and breakfast, but the hosts make it even more special. We are already talking about taking our 3rd trip to see them. Thank you, His and Hers!

If you want peace and quiet then this was the place. Lee and Bob were wonderful just and breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a morning walk and getting to know our wonderful host.

Windy and Dean were awesome hosts. It is such a blessing for them to share their little slice of heaven with others. The home, location, beautiful landscaping and delicious breakfast makes for a wonderful experience.
