Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Dover

Julie-Lynn and Mike's place is absolutely wonderful. We had a great weekend stay and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and to our surprise chocolate cake on the weekend which was a great treat. We hope to be back again to stay when we are in Vermont.

Caitlin and her husband, Peter, are caring, considerate hosts. They made me feel welcome in their beautifully appointed, light-filled home. They were open and friendly, interested in finding out who I was, while being respectful of my privacy. When I explained I didn't like to eat first thing in the morning, they went out of their way to prepare a yummy, healthy "to-go" breakfast I could take with me to the program I was attending. Caitlin even loaned me her favorite travel coffee mug for my tea. I was able to spend my final morning having breakfast with them and they prepared a delightful meal, replete with fresh fruits and flowers from their garden. We sat outside amongst the beautiful plantings and each shared with me a precious piece of their own life story as well as how they met. That's how I discovered what wonderful people they are. I would return there in a heartbeat. Staying at the Sanctuary provided a welcome contrast from the intensity of the program I was attending.

I had a wonderful stay with Jim and Monique! They have a beautiful and comfortable house in a gorgeous setting and are the perfect hosts. My room was spacious and well appointed; loved the barrel ceiling. The bed and linens were very comfortable and I had two great nights of sleep. Monique's breakfasts are truly outstanding and a great start to my day. Most of all, Jim and Monique are lovely people and I enjoyed getting to know them. I will definitely look to stay with them again next time I'm in the area.

There are not too many inns still run like the Golden Stage Inn -- Julie has raised the bar for all the inns that we'll stay at from now on. Personalized attention, wonderful homemade food, nice location, and charming architecture -- there's even heated floor in the bathroom! This is the quintessential inn, a real treat, and a rare find!

Super charming home and guest space upstairs. We were looking for a comfy place to spend a few winter days with our Williams student and this fit the bill perfectly. Super close to campus, but the view out of the northwest window made it feel like we were in a wood cabin in the middle of the woods somewhere. Great communication with owner.

The Shearer Hill Farm is not only a cozy and beautiful place to stay at, it also has the best hosts, Patricia and Bill. Their attention to detail, kindness and hospitality made this a fantastic experience. Breakfast here was worthy of a 5 star restaurant, their coffee and jams were sooo good too. Our rooms was beautifully decorated, also super comfy and clean. Thanks for having us so last minute! Hope to be back soon. :)

A wonderful bed and breakfast with everything one would expect from a classic Vermont BnB! The hosts made me feel welcomed and right at home. I particularly enjoyed the bedroom with a quaint fireplace and a large shower. Several personal touches with a gift bags of hand warmers, tissue, a snack! A great touch. The breakfast which happened to be my favorite dish which is french toast, it was among the best I have ever had. Will be my go-to lodging anytime I am in the the area!

Michael was a wonderful host. Was right there when we checked in even though it was late. He was helpful and kind and we felt right at home from the moment we walked in the door. Michael is a fabulous cook and breakfast each day was amazing. He remembered what you liked or your dietary restrictions. I can't say enough good about the place. From the basket of knitting, to the puzzles, reading materials, and games, you felt like you were one of the family just hanging out. Many thanks Michael and Kevin for an awesome stay!! I know we will be back!!

We loved our stay breakfast was absolutely amazing. 3 course breakfast with eggs, yogurt, fruit, ham, so great. Clean bedroom, fireplace was beautiful. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Very close to Okemo mountain perfect for skiing, 3 minutes away.

Best value! Very nicely uniquely decorated lovely house with many interesting antique Ray collected . Clean and comfortable. Host Ray is the nicely host I ever had. Not only he got up very early to prepare delicious breakfast for my family when I had to leave the place early to catch a skiing lesson at Okemo, he also prepared the pit fire for us after he saw my daughter trying to pick up items for s'more making when we ran into each other coincidentally at the nearby grocery store. I will highly recommend Ray's unit for anyone who visit the area. Thanks Ray for your top notch hospitality!!

Staying in the Governor’s Inn was like taking a step into the past—in a good way. The Inn, itself, is pristine and well-kept, with period decor and furniture. Our room was spacious and cozy. The 3-course breakfast was amazing. Best of all, the hosts were warm, welcoming, and helpful. They truly made us feel at home.

I had a fantastic experience staying at Ernie’s place! The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. Ernie was a great host—responsive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed for a smooth stay.

Rosemarie and Holger were wonderful. They were super accommodating, always available and had superb recommendations for dining in the area. The breakfast was spectacular! The room was super clean and was a very welcoming and comfortable space. The common areas were equally warm and welcoming and the amenities were all anyone would need. The dining recommendations were fabulous. We will definitely be staying with them often in the future.

My boyfriend and I spent two wonderful nights in Cider House 1. We had a fabulous time. Peaceful and relaxing with beautiful fireplace.

Beautiful old home in walking distance to town and very close to Okemo. Rosie & Holger were very friendly and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was amazing 😊

We came to Vermont to look at the beautiful fall colors and for a Vermont experience. Staying in a stately house that originates from the 1700’s gave us both. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The downstairs sitting area is elegant with plenty of room to spread out read like a country squire. Mary makes an excellent breakfast and is accommodating about when and what to eat. Be sure to try the apple pancakes. Manchester with all its fine restaurants is 15 minutes away. Otherwise, the Wayside Country store is right down the road. The view out the back of the house is outstanding. We highly recommend this house for a Vermont getaway.

This was my first Airbnb experience. From the very beginning, John and Kathy were excellent hosts. They come across as just genuine and likeable people - it really feels like you’re staying with friends. Not to mention, they are SO kind in opening up their entire (gorgeous) home and property to you. They make it clear that while you’re there you have free range to explore the grounds or utilize the fun on-site things such as the fire pit and relaxing common areas. The breakfast served each morning was so thoughtful and delicious; my husband and I really felt like we were being spoiled!! Speaking of spoiled, idk how I’ll ever be able to have a better Airbnb experience than John and Kathy provided as they really set the bar high. Looking forward to booking our next visit here for sure.

What a lovely and beautiful location amongst the woods... perfect living space, a wonderful kitchen with everything we could want or need. Sharon is the consummate host. We absolutely love being there and our 2 dogs do too! We can't wait for our next visit!!

My wife and I had to travel from Washington for a Memorial service for my Dad after he passed away. We had owned and run a B&B in Tacoma, Washington for almost 11 years and we love staying at B&Bs. We loved and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Dean & Wendy at His & Hers B&B. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. The hosts were kind, knowledgeable of the area and very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was excellent. Thank you Dean & Wendy.

This is an idyllic setting for a beautiful home with super friendly and caring hosts. The large house, a retreat center with facilities for large groups, sits on a lake overlooked by a gorgeous modern treehouse. Tom and Ravi are excellent hosts and I enjoyed chatting and eating with them and learning about their vision for the property, communal and artistic, with nourishing food fresh from local farms, and a mix of interesting guests. This is the kind of place where you can truly unwind in natural green, wander the extensive grounds and connect socially if that suits you. The beds are comfortable, each room with its own bathroom, and the living rooms are spacious and with walls of books and artwork. Cannot recommend this place more highly. If you’re lucky enough to find availability, don’t hesitate!

This was our second stay and it was just as amazing as we remembered it. We love staying in the Cold River Room, we were so excited it was available for this trip too. It is perfect for a couple having a cozy trip. We also love the homemade breakfast that Wendy makes. This is a beautiful bed and breakfast, but the hosts make it even more special. We are already talking about taking our 3rd trip to see them. Thank you, His and Hers!

If you want peace and quiet then this was the place. Lee and Bob were wonderful just and breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a morning walk and getting to know our wonderful host.

Windy and Dean were awesome hosts. It is such a blessing for them to share their little slice of heaven with others. The home, location, beautiful landscaping and delicious breakfast makes for a wonderful experience.
