beautiful accommodation! whoever is taking care of the property is doing a fantastic job, the gardens are immaculate and it is a little mountain oasis! the staff made our stay as easy as possible, nothing can't be communicated using Google translate. I will say the location is a bit tricky. luckily there is a bus stop right out the front, but buses going into alishan are packed and getting on this far up you are likely to be standing for the next 40 mins up windy roads. it's also not really walkable to restaurants either but luckily the staff offered to pick up food for us in town.

Lauya was a beautiful, peaceful, & restful stay. We really enjoyed our time, and we enjoyed their homemade breakfast, amazing scenic views, and calm environment. Staff were very friendly and patient & the rooms were clean and cozy. We cannot wait to return again one day. Thank you for a wonderful stay! :)

Jia Ling's place is beautiful, as described, and looks bigger than in the photos! You can comfortably fit 4 people and still have lots of room. The view is beautiful! Make sure to visit their tea plantation and factory — located right above the room! Jia Ling herself is very warm and friendly! Though there was a language barrier (we do not speak Chinese) she answered all our questions and was very accommodating. We appreciated her help despite being busy running her business, and loved the tea that she so kindly served us :) When taking the bus, ask the driver to stop at WangFeng bus stop ahead of time. Cross the road, and you'll be at Jia Ling's place, which is located right next to a restaurant. Tip for first timers: You can pay for the bus once you get on (we spent some time looking for a ticket booth in Chiayi HSR haha) When we come back, we'll definitely take a car instead, as it'd make accessing Alishan and the nearby trails much easier. Nisa’s place was amazing. Super cute and the room was big and had everything we needed. She was super sweet and made sure we had hot water for tea. The location was right by the bus station, bike paths, and yummy food.

The hosts are very friendly and even let tour their tea plantation. We had a nice chat over tea while waiting for our queue for the restaurant next door. Hosts are helpful, do provide very useful information on where to alight if coming by public bus. The room is very spacious, clean and has all the essential amenities , even has dyson hairdryer. They also provide free high mountain oolong tea bags for you try and bring home. Breakfast is included, it is something simple and filling. Overall have a pleasant and nice stay here, and would choose to go back again for future visit.

Lovely, warm, and beautiful. My wife and I stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful experience. First of all, the garden of the house is beautiful and all were carefully taken care of by the owners. It really felt like you are being in a world entirely of its own. The property also overlook the mountains which further enhances our view and experience. The room we stayed at was clean, freshly remodeled, and very comfortable. We slept so well at night like we never had before. Breakfast was simple but fresh and tasty. Our host would bring us freshly brewed Alishan tea that was grown in the backyard. I even bought some tea from them! Our hosts were very kind and responsive. They are accustomed to hosting foreigners so they do not have problem communicating and warmly welcomes everyone. You will need to take a bus to the main Alishan recreation area. But even if we were to come to Alishan again, we will most definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay with Clara. Her cooking was superb and very lovingly prepared. I really appreciate the time shared around the fire sharing tea.
