Tiny House Train-Eco stay

Thank you for renting the train as this really helps me. The train runs on solar power, all your water is spring water and is a great example of up cycling and recycling. The tiny house train is located on a 10 acre/4.2 hectare organic blueberry farm and was restored in 2018 and turned into a tiny house in May 2019. There is a cozy log burner plus electric blanket and heat pumps. There is a smart TV Netflix supplied . Wifi is Starlink with laptop friendly kitchen table. Self checkin after 2pm.

We love this sunny, cosy chic cottage on the city fringe and we think you will too! Wake-up to birdsong and enjoy an easy walk to the Aro Valley Village for a coffee and croissant. There's also the local beer brewery : ) Then its another 15 minute walk to the vibrant Cuba Street for vintage shopping, music venues, dinner and drinks (or a 8 minute Uber ride into town). My returning guests love how close we are to the city, yet you'll feel you’ve escaped it. You can get to the airport quickly and directly access native bush walks. Our unique village hosts Wellington's best bakery and Chocolatier! Grab a bite and a beverage here or jump on a bus heading into the city.

Location, privacy, garden

Located in a quiet, leafy suburb with shops nearby this apartment is in a sturdy house built in 1965 with a picnic lawn and view to Rangituhi. A 15 min walk to the railway station. Kapiti Line, min drive to Te Rauparaha Arena, Whitireia Polytechnic and the Police College. 20 - 30 min drive to Wellington. The space can be comfortable with one bed, or a family space with an extra one or two beds. There ‘s a lip (small wooden barrier) into the shower and a low ceiling. Great Wifi No TV.

Our peaceful, rural location is perfect for exploring and creating unforgettable memories with plenty of space to roam around. Just a short drive away, experience Wainuiomata beach for fishing, river swimming, and seal-watching. If you head 2 mins North you tramp the Remutaka Forest Park. The Baring Head Regional park is right around the corner to go biking, walking or view the lighthouse & lake. If you're a golf fan, make sure to check out the Wainuiomata Golf Club, it’s only 10 mins away.

The strawbale studio.

The self catering studio is located behind the main house on a private two hectare section. It’s an open plan strawbale construction with a double bedroom hidden behind sliding wooden shuttered doors. The studio was designed for passive solar heating, with a concrete floor and large double glazed windows in the living space. There are blinds in the bathroom and bedroom, but the living space does not contain any window furnishings as this would defeat the purpose of the passive solar concept.

Carport available for you to use. My place is a 2 minute walk to the main street of Newtown close to Wellington's Hospitals, public transport and airport. There are several buses to the central city during the day. You’ll love the generous space in this gorgeous, cosy 1890's cottage, with a modern bathroom, spacious lounge, comfy bed, a private garden & full kitchen with gas hob & electric oven for guests who like to cook. My place is good for singles, couples and business travellers.
