Fantastic accommodation for us with our partially disabled 89yo mother to visit family in Fairfield. The commercial location accommodated our large van and portable wheelchair ramp. Location was also peaceful all weekend. The house worked for her walker inside. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped and clean. Thank you Jen for access to your cute house.

If I could give Elmina 15 stars out of 10, I would! This property is peaceful, private, and impeccably clean. She has thought of all the extra little details like leaving homemade baked goods upon arrival, a basket full of snack items, bottled water/juice and coffee. I even found it super helpful to have all of the kitchen cabinets and drawers labeled with their contents, so you knew exactly where to find everything. The house looked better than the pics and with four bedrooms and two full baths, there was room for everyone to spread out. We stayed overnight as attended a family wedding close by. If you are ever in the Mount Vernon area or simply passing through the area as you travel, skip the over-priced hotel rooms and book with Elmina. I would DEF stay at her property again!

We were in a bad spot emotionally as we suddenly lost our grandmother. Patricia was quick and responsive and was able to accommodate our immediate needs. Highly recommended.

The cabin was bigger and more beautiful than you could possibly imagine from the pictures. The fish in the lake are ample and me and my friends had a wonderful time catching them. Animals were not an issue and we felt safe in the area. Plentiful amenities and more than enough towels for a group of 5 people showering every day. The hostess we met at check in was incredibly kind and friendly. She helped us feel welcome and at home. The cabin itself feels well constructed and roomy, space was very much not an issue. The kitchen worked great and really allowed me to explore my inner chef and we were provided with lots of charcoal and firewood for outside cooking. I would HIGHLY recommend this listing for anybody considering staying at this cabin and my memories made here will be unforgettable.

We were very happy with our stay. Nathan is a great host and the house was fully stocked with any little thing we could’ve needed. Our toddler appreciated the children’s books and we enjoyed the selection of board games. It’s a great location in town where you can walk to restaurants and the coffee shop. We felt right at home.

We had a great time we was in town at a local hunting event in Flora and it was a perfect driving distance, great area in the back yard to chill. We tried the skillet fork grill for breakfast and Stephy Bar and Grill for a Cheese Burger both great places to eat also there is a Amish Store that sells fresh baked goods on the weekends that was excellent right across from the bar and grill. If we make it back we would stay again.

We stayed here along our road trip across the country and really enjoyed it. The place was very clean.
